Sharp Pain in Throat

it doesn't feel like i am sick i am not coughing or anything it just feels like knifes and needles are stabbing me on the inside of my throat

I've had the same needle feeling at the back of my right throat for nearly 2 years now. Every 6 weeks last year, and this year it's been speeding up to 2 to 3 times a month. My family is insisting that I have it checked out, as I had thyroid cancer in 2002. I'm seeing my neurologist at the end of this month to check it out. I already have an appt with my ENT doctor next March to deal with a parotid gland issue. I'll have them also check it out if Neuro can't help me. I'm just hoping that this "sewing needle poking into the back of my throat" issue doesn't end up being another cancer issue. The one blessing I do have is that I'm a veteran, so I get all of my healthcare and prescriptions for free.

A nurse can not precribe drugs in ireland or give doctors advice i would say go to a doctor

Hello
Even am having a sharp pin like pain in my throat
Ands its more than 2 weeks I got this
Seen several Doc
Some given med it was ok
Later on its coming again and again during the night
Do u think it's just because I smoke or drink cold water????

SAME PROBLEM!! over a year ago

I have the same problem!! It's been like 2 days but whenever I talk, it's like the air goes in and dries my throat and then I start feeling the sharp pain. It's like it acts up whenever it's dry. I don't know what it is BUT it seems like this comes along with pain at the back of the tongue kinda and my cheeks feel swollen. My gums feel the same way... I'm getting worried. What is this condition?!? Do I have tooth decay?? Is my teeth falling out because the gums are like, shifting??? Please answer.

I have similar to this symptom. I used this method once and I feel better already. Today is my second day. I mixed a drop of oregano oil into a warm cup of water about 8oz. You need to mix them up before you gargle it until empty. You will feel your mouth pretty clean. Please do this before you go to bed. This symptom drives me crazy. I went to the GP and mouth doctor and they couldn't find my problem. Dr wrote me a test by swallowing thick milky liquid to take the x-ray and they couldn't find anything either. So this method help me a lot. It doesn't cost me much and more effective. Also get a humidifier to help you sleep well at night. Also don't forget to drink a bottle of water when you wake up. Hi I'm looking up something similar myself but not like yours. Having had tonsillitis I can assure you that's what you have. You need antibiotics so go see a doctor

Esophagitis, strep throat , soreness from coughing, dry soreness from mucus /congestion. I have acid reflux with complications, barretts esophagus, Gerd and severe heartburn, and I get the same sensation after a bad acid reflux attack or prolonged vomiting hope you feel better soon and I get too am an odity barretts esophagus only reall affects older Caucasian men who abattackffe heavy alcohol drinkers and are over wait, I'm 5"1 123 pounds 29 now was diagnosed at age 27 and don't drink.

I hear ya! About to go to the ER. This sh**s not normal. Was just on antibiotics for some crazy sh*t on my pinky toe. And no. I'm not Diabetic.
