They're called tonsil stones, basically calcified bacterial stuck in your tonsils, you can get them while sick if you're swallowing your mucus, if you get a cotton swap or q-tip, you can lightly press the base of them and they'll pop out

I have a really bad sharp pain in my throat that allows me not to talk or eat. It also makes me sick ALOT and my temperature rises , went to the doctors but all they deacribed was a sore throat when i knew it wasnt. They advised me to use paracetemol etc but hasnt worked at all can anyone please help

I see that this is an older post but I'm having the same exact symptoms with my throat and right ear. The doctor did say that I have an ear infection but I've never had this pain in my throat before with an ear infection. It feels like there is a knife stuck in my throat everytime I swallow. Did you ever find anything to help with the pain?

I believe u have strep throat..ive had similar symptoms and the doctor gave me antibiotics..the first didn't work so well..so they gave me a stronger dose

Same with me. ITS HURTS SO BAD. Its in the right back of my throat, right behind the dangly thing in your throat back there. I have had the cold, but I have been MUCH better through the past 3 days but now THIS?? Someone outta help us!
