Anymore updates on your daughter? My son sounds similar. He's 9 yo and has been having episodes of crazy stomach pain (usually left of belly button so assuming intestinal) for at least 5 years. He's also very thin and a voracious eater. All tests show normal. Potential of dilated colon, but they don't know. ER can't do anything except provide pain med so now we try to avoid the ER and MDs since they haven't been able to provide any answers. Tonight we're having another major episode (after only having minor flare ups for the past 1.5 years). The only thing I notice is that the major episodes tend to happen after he has eaten a lot of grains and/or sugar foods over a few weeks time. We just finished the holidays, when I usually become more lax with his eating so he doesn't feel left out, so doesn't surprise me that his flare up is tonight. When I keep his diet extremely low grain/low sugar and no soy/dairy/gluten (essentially Paleo), he thrives, has a great attitude and no pains. FYI - he tests normal to all of these foods, including Celiac.
had similar experience pancreatitis really..Doctor said, gall bladder had to come out. Took care of it. Feeling much better.
Exactly why I am moving to Pudong on few months. I believe Eastern medicine will help me.

Wow I've been experiencing this same sharp pain to the left of my belly button and my stomach is tender to the touch! I see no one's had answers yet! Ugh!
Hello All,
Here^s a possible solution.
Precise needles of Localized anaesthetic and some cortisol takes the pain away for a few weeks at a time for me, and for some people permanently.
ive had 2 shots so far, and am going for a 3rd soon.
Ive had pain 1" to the left of the navel for 2 year. After all sorts of gastroscopy/coloscopy, MRI, etc - i found the articles i linked to above, and it looks like im on the way to complete relief.

Me too....docs and figure it out because ultrasound came back normal... So they just slapped me with the label of having IBS.
Did u ever figure out was wrong with her. I too suffer with same symptoms
Ok, I've got this same pain, it's been going for a couple of weeks now. After reading all of these posts, I just had an epiphany! About 2 weeks ago, I got rid of all my low rise trousers and jeans, and replaced them with ones which are higher cut, I'm a bit older now and like a bit of extra cover. Well, what if this pain is from tight waisted jeans?? For me the time frame makes sense and for all of the other people, do any of you wear tightish trousers which make contact with your abdomen around the spot that the pain is?? I'm going to not wear my jeans/trousers for a couple of days (won't be naked, but substitute for something loose) and see what happens. I'll keep you posted.
This sounds like Crohn's Disease, you definitely need to watch what you eat and find a better doctor.
I had the same ossue, it turns out when I stress out its centralized to a spot in my stomach. Hopefully she feels better
I also suffer the same. Pain on left about 2-3 inches from belly button then under left rib in back. Doctor visit examination, and CAT Scan all normal. No abdominal gas or bowel problems but the pain is real. When I touch the area by my navel it is very tender feeling like raw pain. Racking up Doctor bills just to hear all is normal. After reading other people share the same I know I am not alone.
I also suffer from the same pain. No results from Doctor or x-rays. It is also on my pant waist line and the pain can last for several days. I wish others would write so if possible we can help each other.
I had pain that started on 12/26/2013. In March 2014 the ran a CT Scan and diagnosed an intusucception. They told me to go to the ER. They did laparoscopic exploratory & found scar tissue. They removed it got me stable the pain lessen but didn't go away. The pain felt that a bad menstrual cycle, 24/7. I would then get sharp pain that would bring me to my knees. Those pains would just be there and then gone 1-7 hours later. Like someone hit a light switch. I was back in the ER they couldn't find anything, diagnosed my with IBS-C, have me meds which did NOT work told me to live with it and sent me home. Over the two years since that they 'tried' everything: multiple CT scan, multiple ultrasounds, multiple endoscopes, multiple colonoscopies, multiple exploratoroes. All normal. CBC panel showed low hemoglobin (they ignored that). They reiterated IBS. But I didn't eat anything at all for weeks as it hurt worse if I ate. They then suggested I get psychiatric help since it was all in my mind. Found a qualified Gastro in April 2016. He diagnosed me with anterior cutaneous nerve entrapment. The nerve that is running through my abdominal wall is trapped by muscle and/or scar tissue. It can present with chronic pain, nausea, vomiting, episodes of sharp pain, weight loss -all or some of these symptoms. So far 3 nerve block injections with high steroids to try to break up the scar tissue. After the 3rd injection pain has leased but is not gone. Waiting for prior authorization for a nerve ablation. There is a VERY simple test to see if abdominal wall is causing the pain that anyone could do themselves. Lie down on a flat surface or bed - NO PILLOW. Locate the spot that hurts the most. Press down on it & then try to lift your leg (left if it is on the left) or try to raise your head. If the pain worsens it is coming from your abdominal wall. I take neurontin for the pain (not a narcotic which doesn't work on nerve pain. I am malnourished & vitamin levels are at dangerous low levels. Good luck to all. I understand exactly how you feel!!
