I have had this same problem for about 5 years, and have been told it is a nerve problem, phew,,, also what you eat can make a difference, and plenty of boiled water flushes the body, but it does seem to be a problem a lot of people have,
Worms could be a possibility
im experiencing the same
I experienced the same pain around this age and doctors had trouble figuring out what it was so I went on diagnosed with "gastritis" and "lactose intolerant" after many exams and bloodwork. Has she had an ultrasound? it may be the simplest way to find a problem. I was diagnosed with gall stones and experienced "flairs". I never saw a trend with food eaten or anything that would agitate it, it was just random.
A simple ultrasound could have saved me years of pain and money saved on unnecessary examinations.

She could have IBS.
Did you figure out what It was?
It's not "in her head." Perhaps a ultrasound of her ovaries is in order. I say this as one who will allowed investigation to stop after negative tests when my daughter was 15. When one of her ovaries ruptured at age 18, there was a lot of scar tissue found. Obviously, something had been going on that they blew off, and I didn't fight hard enough. (She's ok. But she does have polycystic ovaries).
I have been having severe stomach pain severe painful gas hard to pass gas or have a bowel but soft bowel when it does finally let me have one feels like rocks in my stomach and a balloon in my lower back makes me wake up at night sweating from the pain having sharp pains in my hip and shoulder blades and even hurts to have sex sometimes like a certain spot that he hits and went to Dr did urine test blood work and ct scan didn't see anything what VI's wrong with me tired of the pain
I've had the same pain the last three years and it comes for a few months and goes for a few months...off and on for the last three years and I've done the same and the doctors said everything was normal.. I don't know what to do
I have the same thing going on is this bad?
I get this pain a lot by my belly button it's switches between both sides but it's mainly on the left side. I only get this when I'm sitting down. It comes and goes. I only get it like once a month but it lasts all day. Anyone know what this is.
I know this is an old post, but my son went through the same thing as a child. Finally was diagnosed with Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome or "Stomach Migraine". It is usually triggered by stress, but can be treated and often prevented.
I have EXACTLY the same pain you described in your post...pain to the left of my belly button, with sometimes shooting pain/tingles down my left leg. All seemingly on the surface, as when I push on the area, no extra pain, as in appendicitis, or diverticulitis. Did you ever find out what it was??
I've been having low blood sugar issues for 4 months and then I started getting pain and pus from my belly button. I would touch my stomach lightly and it would hurt so bad. Sometimes it feels like it's deep in the skin and it is pain level 8-10. I went to the ER and they said I have a fungul infection in my belly button. The next day I had to return back to the ER for extreme nausea and no vommiting or pooping. They though acid reflux, so put me on medications for that. Then I went to the doctor and she said could be an ulcer and thinks I have IBS. And then tried to tell me it was my "mood" contributing to this. Which is deffinitely not. I also have a heart rate of 123, ended up on a holter monitor, awaiting those results. Also awaiting an appointment for the GI. Been dealing with bad stomach problems for a month now, can barely leave the house! Right now it's to the left of my belly button and hurts so bad if I push on it.
I've had stomach X-rays & tons of bloodwork, nothing. My thoughts are either an umbilical hernia, ulcer, chronic appendicitis(very rare), or I really think I have something out of whack with my pancreas. Another thing I should point out is 4 days ago I pooped and there was something white in it and ever since then I've been 4 days without bad stomach problems, except for this weird pain next to the belly button! Will keep all updated! Also definitely ask to be tested for H.Pylori, they tell you they test for everything but they really don't, I am asking the next time I go!
