It sounds like shaving irritates you. I've heard that in order to minimize irritation, the best thing to do is make sure you use a new blade and shave with the direction of hair growth. It's not as smooth, but it cuts down on irritation for some people. I find shaving does not work for me at all, though. In the meantime, perhaps you could pop some unscented lotion/aloe vera gel in the fridge and apply it on the area once a day. Do not attempt to shave until your irritation subsides, as you will only make it worse. The few times I tried to shave I did find that it was very itchy growing back, so I don't know what you can do about that besides ignore it. If you get ingrown hairs, try gently exfoliating with a scrub. Be careful, it's a sensitive area and some of those physical scrubs can be really harsh. You can make your own body scrub using sugar and water (some people use oil instead of water, and some prefer to use salt instead of sugar...I find salt can sting, though) , but you want to make sure you do not get that on anything but the pudenda, as the sugar can mess with your levels and give you a yeast infection. You can also use a damp washcloth or loofah - again, be very careful. You don't want to irritate the area more.

Out of curiosity, has anyone used my waxing method? I want to know how well it works for other people.

I have very sensative skin even when I exfoliate, use hypoallergic products and bump reducers, I get ingrown hairs with whatever method I use. You're not supposed to use chemical hair removers inside the vagina or perianal are however som women are fortunate enough that their sin isn't so sensative or allegic to these creams and tey can get away with it. I've stayed away from thechemical hair removers all together until here lately hoping that at least my legs could withstand it. I even tested it the night before, and it was just fine but when I used it again on an entire are I got a rash. Anyone recomend anything for rashes created by chemical hair removers? And what's worse is it still left some hair behind. I will not go back to those products. I'm better off shaving. My leg hair doesn't grow back as fast as most women so I'm lucky there I suppose but shaving every 4 days or less depending on my hair groth is still a pain in the butt. I'm very anal about my hair and I want to be smooth for as long and consistently as possible. Waxing the pubic areas doesn't have a long lasting effect on me and few times have I gone in to get waxed have I really enjoyed my results. I'm at my wits end here and am spending too much money on products that don't give m the results. I'm at the point where I. Would consider laser hair removal. Regardless, so far waxing is the best method for thepubic are for me anyhow. There is this shaving oil that I really like when it comes to shaving my legs though. But I forget what its called. Giving advice from my experience and looking for som in return.

Don't about it right now. If it's that bad, just trim it for now. But honestly your so young, and I'm not saying this in a condescending way but you should be enjoying other things and not have to carry that stress on your shoulders for a little longer. Do your research and understand that it doesn't always end up perfect down there, but we do what we can and learn from practice. Also if you are that worried about it maybe because of it being summer and swimming suits. Try to find a female adult you trust and feel comfortable with and express your concerns, maybe they can point you in the right direction to take care of the bakini line for summer

On the nair product it says do not use on Vaginal and anal area. That's how ueast infection and other infections occurs in women. I recomend reading anything before applying on your skin. It might work for the meantime, but in the long run you would've wished to never have had used it.

I know this was posted six years ago, but the more you shave the more the bumps will start, I like to shave a few times, then let it grow again. But do not shave your behind. It's very uncomfortable, because the hair is there for friction purposes and once you remove it, every step will be uncomfortable and it will feel like your cheeks are glued together, ha. I would recommend using a bikini razor and not worrying about getting it too smooth to the point of bumps. Also I like to put some average lotion over it afterwards just so the skin stays healthy and not too dry.

I use nair on my p***y and butt hair. I've got it down to a science. Don't get too close to your butt hole or inside the p***y lips. You will regret it! I shave those parts. I would love to try waxing one day.
