I had a cortisone given to me when I stated I did not want one for my 21 year old shoulder injury ... next thing I knew I'm have adverse reactions and can't be in warm rooms or be warm period as my face feels like a huge zit about to blow and I ache more than I ever did before I got it.. like others have said.. I'd rather deal with the injury than this experience ever again... (doesn't help I have post whiplash issues added into it all)

I have been having really bad stomach pain since the kenalog injection i got in my right knee 6 weeks ago, also bruising if i barely get bumped. I also have raised blood pressure, water retention and dizziness along with anxiety, My doctor doesn't have a clue about this being caused by the cortisone injection. I hope these aide effects go away soon

Me too. Horrible leg cramps. around four in the afternoon my teeth and tongue begin to pound. I become dizzy and disoriented, anxious and confused. Like an id**t I believed them all that it wasn't because of the shots so I got more because the back pain was unbearable. Now I feel like the core of my brain is pounding. I'm really scared.

My doctor gave me a steroid shot 6 days ago. I don't know what exactly steroid though. He also gave me a script for an anti inflammatory Diclofenac Sodium. I started taking the pills day after shot and started itching 2 days after shot. I only took 2 of the pills as they upset my stomach too much but have continued to have itching and it has been 6 days since shot. I think I have an allergic reaction to the steroid shot . I have had a few shots in past and never a problem. My face feels flushed all the time and I itch all over like my skin is really dry. Lotion doesn't help. Benadryl seems to help for a while and then wears off. Can't call doctor today because it is Saturday. No rash or redness. Only itching. Very frustrating.

I am having similar reactions to cortisone injections. I am curious if my blood type has anything to do with the side effects. I am O negative and my body doesn't process medicine like a RH positive person would.

So funny reading this. I jut had a cortisone injection in my shoulder. The doctor was horrid. Told me off when I flinched, then complained it took longer than expected because I was anxious. I felt faint after and dizzy, and off you go she says. I told my husband it was the worst procedure I have ever had. Even worse than giving birth to my 3 children. So can so relate to your comment.

The only side effect I have is a dry mouth and some white flat places inside my mouth on my cheek. But they are not sore. Kind of like dead skin.

I received a cortisone shot on my shoulder as I had a rotar cuff tear. It was Wed. I felt fine but Thurs. morning I started to feel nauseated. I tried to ignore it but by evening I developed severe stomach cramps and began vomiting all night long. Next day I felt weak, dizzy. The vomiting finally stopped. I called the doctor but got the nurse which told me I was probably getting the flue. That there are no side effects. Today is Sat. I still feel weak and dizzy but not nauseated. I will never get another shot! I'm really sorry to hear all of these horror stories. I wish doctors would be more honest.

I just had an cortisone epidural and now have the worst burning and hurting in my stomach I've ever experienced. Along with that I'm horribly nauseated and have heart burn so bad I can't eat anything but vanilla ice cream and milk. Everything else causes GREAT stomach pain. WTH why are they allowed to do this to us, under the guise of helping us, this isn't help IMO, I feel like I've been injected with poison. After investigating cortisone I find it kills our good stem cells which is responsible for healing. What happened to "Do No Harm"?

I have had the same side effects, but to add to that list, no energy, stroke symptoms, error visit, high heart rate, high blood pressure, can't do anything,. Feels like my life is over, it's been almost two weeks and it feels like it's getting worse. I don't care if I died today, nothing matters anymore.
