I mix Adderall and alcohol all the time. I don't know what you guys are drinking to make yourselves so sick, but it's seriously no big deal. Probably not the best thing for your body, but neither is eating fast food or failing to exercise and take vitamins. You'll be fine.

That's kinda what I'm thinkin. My so called "ritual" when I take adderall is to have a shot, 2 or 3 a couple or few hours before bed. It not only takes the edge off that "wired" feeling, which makes me feel even better, but it helps me sleep. Never have a felt sick or nauseated or even felt bad e next day. Guess it's just different for everybody.

I've only had this happen a few times in as many years, but I have blacked out drinking with adderall still in my system.  I've tried limiting any time I will be drinking to when the adderall is out of my system, or almost out, but there're many variables which can make this time different than every other time, like quantity of food in your system, how much exercise you got, etc...  In these few instances I've had food in my system continuously but not abundantly (snacking, basically) and I'd only been drinking beer for a few hours, which I was accustomed to doing once, sometimes twice a week, but I experienced blacking out where I walked and talked and even drove for over an hour roundtrip and I don't remember any of it.  This has recently become an issue as cops woke me up in someone else's driveway, though my vehicle was off and my keys were somewhere in the back (a cop had to search for them).  I'm being charged with a dui but I have no memory of it.  This may or may not be a risk to you, but it is a risk I no longer want to take.

Adderall makes it harder to get drunk. Once you are drunk on adderall, your likely to black out but sound and appear to others as if you are not because your mind is very stimulated. The worst part about drinking heavily on alcohol is the hangover. Your probably not going to throw up, but you will feel messed up. Its like your mind is too fast for your slow tired body. You will have anxiety and racing thoughts. The worst of the hangover is absolutly the psychological discomfort, where as if you were having a normal hangover it is more about you being tired and sick. You are likely to have a headache, and start to look burnt out. I advise drinking gatoraid for the dehydration. Calling a friend to make you laugh and smile to help with the anxiety. By the end of the day you will feel much better. While drinking and taking pills is not healthy I have never felt like I needed to go to the hospital or anything like that. If anything it just made me want to stay home and cuddle with someone all day. But everyones body is different and I have heard of people who have admitted themselves to the hospital because they were drinking and taking adderall. So just try not to OVER drink, which should always be your goal anyways.

I take 20 mg of adderal every day for ADD. Adderal makes you not hungry and dehydrated so make sure you eat and drink a lot of water than drink or you will have the worst hang over. I get drunk crazy fast on this downside I don’t realize I am I feel like I’m tipsy but really I am wasted, So I keep drinking. I can’t tell you how many times I have crashed my car cuz I thought I was sober you feel like your focused and alert but in reality you’re not. Everyone is dif though my friend has ADHD and he is fine when he drinks. Just make sure you let your friends know before you drink so they can keep an eye on you. Also most likely you will black out most of the night and expect to hear about all the dumb things u did that you norm wouldn’t of done.

Hi there!
I had a recent reaction to adderall and a bit too much alcohol. For me if I have taken my adderall I have an inability to judge how much I am drinking and how drunk I am. This reaction scared the begeezes out of me, I had lost all feeling or use in my legs and it slowly worked up my body. It was 10 hours after drinking too. This ended me in the hospital with several staples in my head and a cast on my wrist from passing out. I also have lost my license for 1-5 years because of the 3 seizures I had in the hospital. Anything after one seizure makes you an epileptic and you have your license revoked for 1-5 years but you can appeal for it back after 6 months seizure free.
My question to you is, is this night of drinking and partying worth losing everything. I'm 22 and have to move back home with my parents and I have to step down from a new position at work and I have to take a year off of college all because I didn't think my actions through.
Be extremely cautious!

I did that today (50mg of adderall and a Budweiser a few hours later), and what I experienced was really bad gas, stomache pains, and an inability to sleep (it's past 4am and I rarely fall asleep past 1am)...I would not recommend taking adderall at all, unless it's prescribed to you.

I am 26yrs old and have Tourette Syndrome. I take 75mg of dexedrine a day or at least that is what is allotted me. Normally I only need 15mg if I have been taking it everyday. I have never read my medication labels except for the dosage instructions and have always used common sense. Well not knowing the potential risks involved with drinking while on amphetamines I had taken my full dose then went out with some friends. Normally I am a light weight and don't drink but once a month or so, however that night shots were ordered and we started strong. By the third shot I was expecting to have to cut myself off and sober up a bit but I didn't feel a thing. It wasn't until 7 long islands, 2 guinesses later that the bartender cut me off and couldn't understand how i was still completely coherent and apparently sober. Two of my friends did not drink that night and said they would have never known I had drank that much. Went home wrote a paper then went to sleep. THought I was superman until I woke up and my brain felt like a peanut. It was the worst hangover I have ever had and after my time in the army that is saying alot. My advice based on my experience is to always use both in moderation.

So this morning I decided to have a little fun and drink some rum I had found in my basement. I spent about an hour taking sips until I was pretty drunk, then spent the rest of the morning sobering up. Tonight by the time I went out, (I would say there had been about 4-6 hours in between sobering up and leaving my house), the alcohol was the last thing on my mind. Around 8 pm I decided to orally ingest about 35 mg of Adderall. I had no problems until later in the night at about midnight when I decided it was time to come home due to not feeling well. As soon as I walked through my door I made a beeline for the the toilet, and stayed there until only a few minutes ago around 3:30, throwing up on and off the entire time, as well as dealing with insane sweats, dizziness, feeling of dissassociation from reality and a weak body. I've tried many things and had many weird experiences but this was by far the worst outcome I've ever had. I also struggle with Low Blood Sugar which was definitely a contributing factor to the severity of my condition, however I have literally never experienced anything like this before. If you must take adderall and alcohol together, I suggest snorting a moderate amount of adderall and only drinking a few sips total. BE AWARE: It is extremely difficult to know how drunk you are while on adderall until you hit a wall, and then you are pretty much screwed. Moral of the story is: save yourself from hours of vomiting by smaller portions and greater caution. I wouldn't say the combo is completely off limits but caution is extremely neccessary.

The reason that I found this thread was that I have only had health issues that have really scared the sh*t out of me a few times in my life.  I am not saying I have confirmed anything with raw data, but both times I was using ADHD medication and drinking alcohol.   I have a feeling it might lower my blood pressure?   I passed out while sitting on the toilet and ended up in the hospital.  I no for sure that the passing out was not due to over consumption of alcohol.   I felt it come on and then woke up ? later on the floor.   I have since been more cautious of mixing the two things and have only felt faint glimpses of the feelings that I felt just before I passed out.  I have stopped and started the medication several times and never had the same issue while I was off the medication.   I recently started it again and immediately was reminded of that scary night when my sisters husband found me on the floor in a pile of my own filth.  I know this is pretty detailed but hey, these are serious matters and I dont want to sugar coat it.  It starts with instant full body sweat which completely soaks me in milliseconds and suddenly no matter how strong my muscles may be, they start to fail me and I have no choice but to collapse on the floor.    When this happens I can no longer stand up for the most part.  I must lay down and wait for time to pass.   The hospital did not find anything abnormal in my body or heart via ekg and blood tests.  I hope this msg is some how helpful to some.   I still take the medication, but I am very aware that something inside of me is saying, "BE CAREFUL."

I think it really depends on your adderall dosage and your prior tollerance to alcohol. Firstly, adderall and alcohol are both very hard on your liver and kidneys. You could easily suffer from sever dehydration, or if you are drinking heavily enough you cause your liver or kidneys to fail. They suggest that you be cautious about blood thinners while taking adderall, many people do not take into consideration that alcohol is a blood thinner. It is also hard on your brain and heart to be under the influence of a stimulant and depressant simultaneously. I would say, hydrate, limit your alcohol intake to the smallest amount possible, and try to avoid any other blood thinners(anti-inflammatory drugs, anti-coagulants, most OTC pain relievers) and any other stimulants(caffeinated beverages, nicotine, allergy medications, or any decongestants or antihistamines).

the problem is you are prone to blacking out...and they cancel each other out...you get the good and bad in both....you get the messed up judgement and courage from the alcohol..then u get the focus ability and creastivity from the adderall...then you get the confidence from adderall the anger from drinking, the emotionalness from both, and not only will you black out, you will do things you will immediately regret but feel nothing wrong with at the time...like cussing out your friends, defending yoiurself to the point of attacking others and you will have the skills to hurt anyone...its a great combo when done in controlled situations...but once the ;liquor kicks in your judgement of what is a normall pill aount fades...once the pill kicks in you wont know how drunk u r or how much you're drinking...my advice...although 80% of the time it worked out?...the other 20% been so bad i wouldnt even accept that 80%...just to eliminate that 20%. good luck pill poppers!

Now, here a correct way to put it. Yes, it is hard on your heart, However, No Adderall is not necessarily hard on your kidneys or liver. Taking Adderall with alcohol is, sure... Hard on your heart. (Somewhat) But if  you are throwing up and sucking, then you deserve it. I have had 150mg maybe more, and 25 beers of 6% and felt f*****g awesome. So, basically... Suck it up and quit your bitching.
