Sth else I want to ask: has anyone talked to a urologist about the solution to the problem described in this topic? If so, what was his answer/suggestion?

I actually talked to my urologist about this problem/solution since I found this thread a day before my appointment. Firstly he told me he had never heard of this problem before which I'm sure is common to most of you on this thread. He told me that ejaculation and erections shouldn't interact the way I described considering they are two different systems. There is no reason for the pain to only come after ejaculation but somehow the two systems are crossing over but he had no idea why/how. He mentioned we could do further examination but since there is no literature on the subject, there is literally nothing we could do even if we found what the problem was. I didn't want to risk messing around with anything down there since it's all working fine right now and that was where we left it. My urologist researched erectile dysfunctions while he was in school so he was fairly knowledgeable on the subject and if there was anything to know in the books I feel like he would have had some kind of memory of it. He also doesn't know why the "toothpaste method" does anything to help although the nurse that took my vitals said something interesting. He told me that semen was fairly acidic and I wondered if maybe the acidity in there was somehow causing the pain.

Zenman1 here. I'm stoked this technique is helping others here. Incidentally, I've found that I don't have to wait for the erection to go down before using the technique. If I use the toothbrush method right after ejaculation (starting at the perineum, almost the anus) and then urinate a short time later, I have no pain afterwards or middle of the night painful erection! This is great. Huge thanks to the original guest who brought this solution to our attention!
I think the acidic semen idea makes sense. Maybe our semen is more acidic than normal? Maybe we should get those little ph tester strips and test our semen.
It's possible other guys just naturally make sure the penis is all sqeezed out after sex. I talked to my brother and he said he always makes sure every last drop is out. He's never had this pain, he just does it automatically.

Yup, I've had this issue for a number of years. I'm 26.
I''ve found that squeezing out as much "left over" semen as possible helps significantly.
I also had the theory of the semen hardening or becoming thicker as it dries to be the problem, after I had that idea, I began what is now being referred to as "The Toothpaste Method" hah :-)

Reading this thread makes me wonder a lot. I've actually had this "problem" my whole life and just until now I looked it up to see if it was normal like I thought it was. (I'm 20) I never even knew people were capable of masturbating 3-5x a day without pain.
I've had this issue as long as I first ejaculated. Let me explain my problem.
After I mas turbate or have sex, my penis becomes flaccid like normal. If I were to have another erection it would hurt like the muscle is sore. (I figured it was normal because it is a muscle and muscles get sore.) The pain lasts for about 4-5 hours or until I take a nap. If I take a nap for even 30 minutes, the pain will be completely gone. The pain never lasts for 2-3 days like some of you said (very sorry to hear that) but it still is pretty annoying. Now that I know that this is somewhat abnormal, I'm kind of jealous of others who can have sex much more often. It would be nice to hear of a solution to this dilemma.

I have the exact same problem and i realized that its kinda helpful in some way. The pain Keeps me from having any sexual activity normally for a while, like a day and a half or 2. And after 3 days it would feel normal. This Helps because thats the prefered period of time you should take a break in order to keep your sperm levels healthy. I'm not an expert. But it makes sense to me as a survival feature kinda, or like a way of protecting the sperm count. Now thats only what I speculate. It isnt proven for that reason but it makes sense when you think about it that way. Im a virgin, which eliminates STDs out of the question. Ive tried every way of masturbation, from supper light touch and a session of 1 minute to heavy grip for prolonged period of time. All the same.

I'm 21 now and have had this problem for the last 5 years or so. I'm uncircumcised.
If I haven't masturbated in the last day or 2, my erect penis will feel normal, whilst masturbating too. but after ejaculation, I will have a sore feeling about 2/3rds of the way up my penis, just under the crown/head.
It feels like my tubes (urethra?) are too narrow to cope with the semen, (which is of course blasted out at high pressure!) :O
this discomfort will last for the next 24 hours usually, sometimes more, sometimes less if I get an erection within this time period. when my penis is flaccid after ejaculation, I do not usually feel any discomfort unless I squeeze my penis with my fingers.
please help, this problem means I can only have sex comfortably once every two days...
I don't experience any other tightness problems, but perhaps my foreskin is too tight underneath the head/ crown area? thus compressing the tubes, narrowing the channel for my semen to shoot along... I don't know :'(

Just got a funky idea from someones post about this being a modern problem.. How many of you have laptops which you might be holding in your lap or otherwise close to your penis? I have the problem, and i've been using my laptop for searching porn for 4 years...

yes the laptop idea fits in with my timescale. lol! but I've got a feeling the problem started just before I ever got a laptop (which I only used at school anyway -no watching porn there!)

I have the exact same thing. The pain is like a muscle soreness and also a bit of pain in the urethra. I have to say that I never thought it was odd... it seems like I've always been like that. That is until I was discussing it with a friend of mine and I stated it like it was just a fact that it happens and he said that he never had that problem. I'm 31, on no medications, and am in otherwise great health. I don't think I have any STD's because I'm pretty particular about my partners and have only had unprotected sex with a couple partners and only after knowing them for years. My guess is this... I tend to tighten my pc muscles up a lot when ejaculating. My ex-wife used to mash my perineum with her fingers when I came. I got used to the sensation and learned how to do it with muscle control. I also tend to have sex for long periods time, sometimes over an hour before I orgasm or just stop from exhaustion. It hurts yeah... sometimes it hurts a lot, but it has never stopped me from having sex multiple times a day though I often do not orgasm after the first time. I think the urethra pain comes from the high pressure of my ejaculation. I also find that penis is rigid even in a flaccid state. I could be wrong on my guesses but just wanted to share.

Im 25 years old and I have had this problem ever since I can remember. During sex I will be fine. But afterwards if I am to get another erection it'll hurt or be sore from the base of it to about the head. I think it has something to do about this. Your testicles will produce your sperm. After sex you release it, no problem. But after that, you really have no sperm left. So having another erection and, or having sex will hurt because your testicles really don't have any sperm left. Which is why if you were to have sex again the pain will be a lot worse. Just give yourself time to produce your stuff. I really hope this may help any of you.

I'm 17, and I have the same condition except it only lasts for a day. I met a guy once that said it goes away, but thats one guy. I experimented with this in every way I could from using alot of lube and slightly stroking, to trying to reach orgasm in 1 minute. It wasn't prolonged erection or stroking. 2 things I found out that if I did some serious sports the pain would fade away faster. Also the longer it is flacid after ejaculation, the less pain I experience if I get another erction. But nothing permanent. I'm a virgin so STDs are out of the question. I tried massages, using different tempratures of water. Nothing really worked. One last thing I figured out that, when I ejaculate its actually quite alot, so maybe as some people said, its because you have no more sperm left you feel pain to keep you way from reaching orgasm untill you recover. Maybe people who don't have this problem don't ejaculate all the semen and so they can keep going at it more than once. All I need to know is: Do all of you people who share this, ejaculate a large amount of semen?

I don't really have much to gauge it on myself, but my GF says it's a whole lot of semen. lol

hello, tried the speezing technique, didn't notice any massive improvements. nothing extra ever gets squeezed out... I don't understand how liquid semen could ever harden or block my tubes anyway? ?
