Not to knock a kit that will come out, because it might turn out to be a great thing, but others and myself have been VERY satisfied with the results we achieved from the soldering iron method. For the first time in my adult life, I have no Angiokeratoma spots on my scrotum and it's wonderful. I would encourage you to go back in this thread and read how to do it. I doubt anything could be more effective. I am a "happy camper!"

i noticed these spots shortly after the first time i shaved there and it got very irritated when it grew back. i was in my early 40s and also bought a bike ( to get back in shape ) i wonderd if this caused the condition. also they are on the left side and no hair has grown back in that area. like others i popped them and they bled and bled and didnt go away. i am going to buy a soldering gun but am very concerned about healing

Mine have all healed very quickly and I really haven't had any scabs. As for what causes them, every medical Website I have checked says no one in the medical community has ever figured out what causes angiokeratoma, so I guess it's a mystery. I think you'll be pleased with the soldering iron method, but only touch the spots very briefly.

Thanks for all the good info on this topic.

I tried the soldering iron method, and while I was pleased with the results I found it cumbersome.Instead, I ordered a low-temp medical cautery on amazon and have been using that to treat my remaining spots. The cautery is cordless (powered by AA battery) and light, with a very small application point. Basically, it's the shape and weight of an oversized pen or a marker. I like the fact that it is button activated (not staying hot all the time like a soldering iron) so I can heat it up for a couple seconds, then apply it. Better temp control, IMHO, and less chance of burning too much skin.

In my experience, this low-temp version cautery does the job nicely. No need for the higher temp model. Healing has been the same as when I tried the soldering iron, perhaps a bit faster since the application point was smaller than the paperclip tip. I also noticed the sting was less than with soldering iron, again perhaps because of the smaller application area.

I have had these since I was in my early teen years. Glad I finally found this site. I had never tried to find out what this was before. But now they have started to spread. Have read all the post on this forum but not sure I will try any of them. Will have to think about it.

Hey guy's !

I'm so happy to read that you found out a treatment for this frustrating angiokeratoma thing..

Before i'm going to try the soldering iron method i have a question:

To plug in the soldering iron into AC let him get hot for few min than just touch with the soldering iron for a sec in the spot and that's all?

Thank you

Yes, do plug in the soldering iron and let it fully heat up. I don't even touch my spots for a full second. It's very fast and for most of them, they made the subtle popping sound and that was how I knew I got them. I hope this helps.

BTW, I stopped putting the paperclip on my soldering iron. Mine is a Radio Shack pencil-type and the point that came on it is sufficient without the paperclip.

Oh, I forgot... Before you start, wash your scrotum well with soap and water and dry it well. When I am done, I put a tea tree oil antiseptic cream on my scrotum to sooth it and help it heal. I get the antiseptic at my local health food store.

The first one I ever did was bleeding. I thought to my self oh sh*t this is no good. I remembered having a nose bleed so bad in my youth after an epic fail bmx jump (had to get most of the inside of my nose cauterized.)

I used an iron. 400-450F will work fine. 1 hail mary and your done. Skin (for me anyway) is dead white. Then it scabs up and your done.

If bleeding work fast. Dry off blood and apply the hot iron. If not bleeding just do it. (It only took me 20 minutes to talk myself into it.)

Sizzle. snap crackle and pop.

Feel the endorphin rush.

Week later your confidence is back up like smiling Bob.

Could anyone say that has used the soldering iron technique for a fair period of time say how long on average it takes for the spots to reappear ? how often do you need to use the soldering treatment to keep the spots at bay to a reasonable degree ?

Hey guys, nice to see that you found method which works. I want to try soldering iron method, however, amazon is not available in my country. Can anyone send me a link or image how "pencil tip soldering iron" looks like. Thanks.

My spots barely come back at all and I think some are permanently gone. I only touch up every two or three months and I might only do four to six tiny spots. Before my first treatment, I had a lot of spots, now I have hardly a trace.

You'll also need a plug in power supply unit (output 3-12VDC // 600 mA max)
