I am 9 weeks post op I had my upper and lower abdominal done and my flanks I wore my compression garment the entire time even went and purchased a smaller size I wore it 24/7 for 8 weeks as soon as I took it off I looked great still some lumpy spots and some areas that were bouncy in my lower abdomen the nurse said this is still fluid retenton and to try a diuretic while drinking tons of water. I have not worn my garment for a week now and my stomach is starting to look like I never had the procedure done at all and I have one huge lump left in my lower abdomen that will not go away no matter what I do...I am beginning to wonder if this was all a hoax. They say you will never gain weight in that area again and I have not gained any weight so why since I stopped wearing the garment after 8 weeks is my stomach looking like I never had the vaser done at all.

I am in week 6 of my recovery. I had liposuction of my back, flanks, sides and stomach. I had all the fat re-injected into my flat pancake boy butt. It was totally worth it.

Because you need the upper abs done! You created a line of demarcation!

Hi all,

I once had lypo (27% bodyfat). The pain, swelling, etc will subside - it will just take more than a month. Y'all might also be having bowel problems - try activia, fiber and/on laxatives. Biggest thing is exercise and diet. Lypo is great for getting rid of fat of course but you'll need to have a great diet/exercise regimine to optimize results. I'm now about 12% (43 yrs.)....

If I had the option I wouldn't have never had fat transfer either.. I have general anesthetic as well and after being discharged from home and passed out.. I fell on my abdominal which caused me to loose a lot of blood.. I was taken to the hospital and had to recowve a pint of blood.. It's only been 11 days since my surgery but I'm unable to regain my strength, not to mention very uncomfortable .. Now I have a disfigured tummy that full of fluid and a harden area.. I'm going to try the massage ball to see if it helps but if anyone has any other suggestion please feel free to share ...

I am just over four weeks and have the same symptoms... how are you both doing today? Does it ever go completely away?

Hi. I had lipo of my abdomen on december 20th and i am u sure if i am satisfied. I had hardness all over my abdomen and lumps in random places. Like you, all of my swelling went down to my pubic area. I feel like the swelling is gone, but there seems to be this squishy feeling right on my pubic area that I know wasn't there before.... i am never able to get A good picture of my midsection because everything I wear leaves intentions in my skin! Ughhh I hate this, I feel worse than I did before. I weigh the exact same and wear the exact same size clothing.

I have the same problems as you do. I am 4 weeks post op and I think most of my pain is bc my compression garment was too small. I had more pain wearing it than taking it off. After 2 weeks I ordered larger ones from Marena Shape. Make sure they have the area to go to the bathroom left open. They ordered me the wrong ones and I have to take my shirt off and peel out of it like a banana. I am using ice packs for the hot, sore, touchy areas. I cant stand anything on my stomach. Dr says it should go away with time. I got an electric neck massger and using it on my tummmy. The hardness there went away but have a pouch above belly button, really sore and flanks are still hard. Try a jacuzzi or hot tub if you have one. I am supposed to wear the garment 24/7 but to be honest my pain is worse. I bought some spray for sore muscles and spray it on. this helps some cause its like sore muscles. I tried exercising and I was down the whole next day in pain. The Dr says as long as I do not have a temp everything should continue to heal. If you have a temp them he may have knicked something.

I’ve been having lymphatic massages, and was told a lot of that is due to not being hydrated before and after procedure. I’m just at the 4 week mark. The swelling has gone down in my pelvic area but the weird numbness and tightness is there and improving.

Can you tell me if this changed as I’m going through the same thing right now xx

I had a tummy tuck and liposuction on my belly and it still protrudes and it's hard and it's been 2 years. What gives?

I also had 360 lipo and a BBL three weeks ago, today I feel miserable! I want it to end and be “normal” again, I did hire a lymphatic massage therapist and she has done wonders! She comes three times a week, find someone who does those Specific massages!

I had liposuction in my abdomen two weeks ago. My problem is I can't fit into my clothes because my legs are huge. Is it normal to experience swelling in these areas, or am I an anomaly?
