BEST.DECISION.EVER!!! I cannot tell you how nauseated I felt all the time with bloating and then the pain just under my rib cage. I finally went to the ER and they advised me to have surgery...which i immediate opted for. Let's face it, I'm worn out, I thought the break would do me good!! LOL. BUT, the IMMEDIATE change in how I felt was dramatic. I couldn't remember when wasn't nauseated and bloated.

Now I will tell you, there was pain, but not anything as I expected. I mean, come on, they CUT into muscle, but honestly, minimal compared to having kids. So ladies, you're in luck, guys, not so much, lol.

My first stool did not come for 4 days, BUT I prepared for it with Miralax....the savior of behinds. I was bracing for impact and nada....great movement, nothing hurt. YAY!

I'm a week and a day out of surgery, not ONE BIT of nausea. OH, I did forget, there was some pain the second day, and believe it or not, it was in my right shoulder!!! I told my nurse, "i have a weird pain, you're not going to believe where!" She immediately said, "let me guess, right shoulder?" I said, "YOU'RE A GENIUS!!! She said it was from all the air pumped in to do the surgery and it would dissipate. That was the most pain that Ihat i had. PERIOD.
So far: no acid reflux; no nausea; no bloating (after initial gassy from surgery); appetite fine; nothing I can't eat...yet and I had medium hot Beef O'Brady wings the other night! I'm doing great. In my opinion, as the great shoemaker Nike says, "Just Do It!"

I had my gallbladder removed 7 days ago. For the past 25 years I had experienced intermittent pain, occasional gastric and distended stomach like I am pregnant (in the last 6 years). I went through the "search the Internet phase" & the "it is really NOT that bad phase".
LET ME TELL you, I am amazed how pain free I have been seen the afternoon after surgery. So glad it is out of my life! Big thank you to my doctors in Toowoomba QLD Australia.

I am so happy I had my gallbladder surgery three weeks ago. I was skeptical until after my second attack in my back. It was unbearable and I couldn't get comfortable or sleep no matter what I did. I went to the ER after 8 hours of this, and once again, they said I needed my GB removed and to follow up with the surgeon. The surgeon was very nice and put me at ease so I decided to have the laparoscopic surgery. I feel so much better. I had already changed my diet to vegetarian the month prior but I eat and I can tell the difference in my digestion. It actually feels like the food is doing what it's supposed to do in there. I've been bloated and looked pregnant for about 8 years. I've gone to two different gastro specialists over the years, and they ran all kinds of test and procedures but never said anything about my gallbladder. After the surgery, I no longer feel bloated and my stomach has gone done significantly. I am so happy for my success story, and wish anyone else the best in their journey to get their health and digestive back on track.

This was so encouraging to read. I scheduled to have mine removed 6.25.2020. I've put it off for years, thinking, like you, that with dietary changes I could fix it. No such luck and I'm terrified of it turning into an emergency procedure and having an emergency room surgeon removing my gallbladder at 2am vs a planned procedure by a surgeon who specializes in gallbladder surgery. Someone once suggest that the reason I'm finding all the online horror stories of post gallbladder procedures is because those that had a successful procedure are off living a full again. I hope and pray that will be me!
