1) Exercise. I know you wont want to exercise at all and you feel like you have a dung baby inside of you, but this really helps. Try to avoid over straining or heavy weight training, jogging and swimming are best.
2) Eat healthy. Fiber is important but more importantly I've found you want to stay away from processed foods and foods high in fat or carbohydrates. Dried fruits are best.
3) VASELINE. I haven't read this on the forum yet but I've found that sometimes an application of vaseline on the "effected area" can do the trick overnight.
4) Wear loose clothing; especially around the waistline. Hemorrhoids are caused from a clog somewhere in the system causing fluid to build up and inflame. It goes away once your body successfully clears the clog and removes the buildup. If you try squeezing into your skinny jeans, this will only clog the pipeline more and will prolong your experience.
With all this being said there is no sure fire cure and sometimes you just have to suffer it out, usually ending with a day of cleansing where everything clears out throughout the day. It is also worth mentioning that Advil and Aspirin will not help your situation and if you are on an opiate regiment for any reason, stop immediately.
See a doctor.. my situation is a little different as I had anal sex with someone who I found out was infected with Chlamydia. I took a urine test and did not have the bacteria, but I didn't realize that an actual rectal swab is needed to test for rectal Chlamydia. They don't tell you that at the online sites. So now I'm off to my doctor to explain everything and possibly get some antibiotics and a swab test done. If I had been totally safe in knowing my partner first then I would know what was wrong. Live and learn and be responsible I guess.
I need your help, everyone. I am so worried about this. I have noticed this sponge-like thing (mucus-like) attached at the tip of my stool lately. Also these days, I reallyhave a hard to time in eliminating my waste because I can feel that my anus is swollen. I don't know what's happening to me. Please help me. By the way, I had an anal sex few weeks ago. I am a bisexual guy. Could that be related to this?

You most likely have Proctitis which is inflamation of the rectum which is about 6 inches long. I am dealing with it right now. It can be caused by std's anal sex putting an object in the rectum and injuring the tissue and other reasons too including antibiodics. Best to go see a doctor and increase fiber in your diet. If you cannot go at all get to the hospital. I know you posted a year ago but I wanted to reply. They can give you anti inflamatory suppositories etc. Mine was cause by an antibiodic i was on. It is similar to ulceric collitus but not the same. heres a link.
