I have the same thing... It was sore, and then it went away. It has remained sore, but I pulled my groin, I guess you could say skateboarding yesturday, and I'm thinking that since I have been massaging that area trying to relieve the soreness, it has gotten worse because I am irritating the lymph nodes, and I asled my friends mom who is a doctor to examin it, and she said it could either be irritation, or an infection in that area.

Lympth nodes in the groin also govern the legs and feet, so it may not always be an infection of the groin.

Hello All, I just wanted to say that my son (15 at the time) had lymph nodes swollen all over his body, I noticed them in his neck at first and I panic like crazy. I made him an appointment right away with the GP and she was concerned also. Besides his Lymph nodes been swollen he was also extremely lethargic - He went from a boy I use to tell to calm down as he could not sit still, to asking him to move around etc... He had to see a ENT for the Lymph nodes in his neck and he said that he needs to remove the one in his neck for testing, so we had an appointment in 2 days for surgery. I was passed myself with worry I could not stop crying and all I wanted to do was hold him. His Iron and Feratin had been low for 3 months and he was on IRON tablets, the Doctors could not understand that either as he was not a girl with obvious reasons for this. A week later we got the results and EVERYTHING was FINE it was not cancer!! It took a whole lot of investigations to find the reason for the swollen Lymph nodes and the extreme fatigue. It was 3 months later of tests test and more tests when they found the answer, My son has CMV Cito Megla Virus and this can effect someone hardly but then effect someone else dramatically. You can never get rid of the virus but it can be treat and it is now 2 years on and my son still has all the swollen Lymph nodes all over, his fatigue problem has got better and he is back to his normal cant sit still mind. He will have other flare ups but at least we know what to expect now. Please ask for the CMV blood test as this is not routine and it is very rare indeed, so tell your GP to check you for it and that way it can be ruled out early rather than months down the lane.

I have had in left groin area swollen nodes, started a year ago, in Nov. I had one cut out wile having gallbladder removed, now I have 3 on left and 2 on right, they hurt especially when your job requires you to be on feet all day 9 hrs. I have had biopsy and ct scan, even a pet-scan, seen 4 doctors and none of them can tell me what is causing it. Since I am a cancer survivor Its really had me worried all my blood work came back fine, had every test you can think of and No Answer. I have been reading a lot of post on here and seems like no one else with this problem ever got an answer. I would hate to think of the $$ I have spent I mean I have been checked for Cancer, Lupus, Rh, etc. One question I have to anyone with this same problem and I see no one has said Do any of you have an autoimmune disease? I found out a year ago I have Hashimoto -disease. I think my disease is somehow causing this? I have an under active thyroid, was told the disease attacked my thyroid and my immune system no longer works. But I had Cervical Cancer 19 yrs ago, so please don't ignore the swollen lymph nodes, Have it checked out, because having Cancer myself I know how quickly it spreads, by the way most people don't know pap test is not 100% I had yearly exam and 3 months later called my Dr thinking it was a bladder infection, took meds for 2 weeks called Dr back and he had me come in for another pelvic exam and seen the cancer, was the size of an orange, it was the fast spreading. I am done going to Doctors, no answers so I guess I live with it, and take pain pills, and heating pad is my new bed buddy.

Just wanted to post that I spent hours yesterday scouring the web for answers to this.

Didn't feel sick or weak at all, had no infections, but there was a swollen lymph node near the crease of my thigh that was swollen so much that it hurt.

Guess what? Woke up with a fever. So, if you're experiencing this and young/healthy, treat your body well (lots of water, vitamin C and D, don't drink alcohol for a few days) as it is likely your body warning you that it is fighting off the flu.

Hope this helps someone out there! Cheers.
