Im 13 and I had my tonsils and adenoids removed yesterday and I can’t talk, I try to but I cant. Whenever I talk you can’t really hear me but I feel like if I’m using the same force that I used to talk before the surgery.

Can anyone taste the burned scar tissue from the scabs after the cauterization? I’m on day 5 of my recovery, and there’s a lot of mucus build up at the back of my throat. My uvula is still swollen and I can see that my throat has changed colour from a green-ish white to a white puss/with black scabs. But the scabs randomly fall off and it tastes like burnt bbq. This is also frustrating for me because the only foods that don’t drive me crazy are jello and ice cream... which I must say are actually becoming painful too recently. I’m ready for REAL food, and I’m ready for drinking water not to be painful either

Hi there , today is my first day of recovery after my tonsils removal. I have two kids and I needed to find a way to talk to them (one first read yet) I decided to use an application on the phone “text to talk”. It worked out so far.

Im a 26yo Male and had my tonsils removed on 6/14/18. When they say be careful getting out of bed they mean it! It was the day after, and I didn't realize that I couldn't feel my right leg until I was collapsing onto the floor. (Pretty sure I broke 2 toes). Day 1, I didn't have trouble talking until the anesthesia wore off. Day 2 I could only get grunts out. It's day 3 and I'm able to squeak some words out, but guttural syllables (k, g, c) are still difficult.
