I recently underwent 9 hours of plastic surgery for a face and neck lift. I am 7 weeks post surgery and have a ring of pressure around my ears, neck and face. My surgeon told me he thinks it is throasid outlet syndrome and I should try massage and hydraulic (?) therapy with my chiropractor to loosen the tight muscles in my neck and shoulders. I have high blood pressure that is controlled with medication, and I had trauma to the neck at c6 and c7 about 3 years ago.
Does that treatment sound helpful or do you think I need to see a doctor who deals with vascular problems?
Thank you.
Melanie
As far as I know, people that have had the plastic surgery usually have some minor problems afterwards with no serious consequences. The recovery lasts a few weeks and after this period things are again put to their place again. I myself was considering having a plastic surgery and I searched the net a lot hunting some information about the possible complications as I am a bit paranoid when it comes to surgical treatments and stuff, so could I ask you to retell me your experience with it? I am interested to hear your story.
I really can’t help a lot with your problem, I am not a specialist and also I haven’t been through anything similar so far, but what I know is that during the surgery some nerves that control facial muscles could be injured so that’s where this uncomfortable pain is coming from. What I think is that your surgeon will give you the most adequate piece of advice, as well as the proper treatment that would follow. Good luck!
