I am a qualified ITEC Beauty Specialist and like us all we want to have nice nails. I have tried all the nail ways you can have and in my professional opinion; they all damage your nails. In answer to the burning, itiching and chill blain like effect of your finger tips this is the glue. The strong glue that is of superglue smell and strength penetrates the nail plate via the entry points around the hyponychium and eponychium - free edge, cuticles and seal to the matrix of the nail. I had to take an anti-allergy tablet for the reaction to go. It took 1 week of taking anti-allergy tablets for this pain to go. All the same my professional advice and I know its not what anyone wants to hear - stick to plain manicures regularly. They are cheaper and if you are going to spend that money anyway, better to use products that will care for your nails and hands in the long run you will be pain free that way unless there is an underlying immune disorder. Always get professional medical doctors help with that one. So in short stay away from false nails, glue and anything else that will cause this tingling problem. All the best.
thank God I found your post. I agree. I'm in beauty school to be a nail tech. we practice on our own nails at time and I wasn't sure if it was the primer or monomer. then I thought I became allergic to the chemicals. I found a site that was from Tammy Taylor and she said we could possibly be using the primer too much, overusing or overexposure? not sure but I made up my mind that I am growing my nails out naturally and I wont give up on my dream to be a nail tech. just being more cautious when I do nails on clients. to wear gloves, get acid free primer, and I might only do SNS nails on my clients. its crazy how much I learned about nail products and how much chemicals are in them. like my nails and cuticles are horrible right now. cracked, peeling, swollen and painful at tips. my nail is almost lifting from the skin and its almost causing a lesion of some sort. I know I'm not the only one who suffers. I hope we have pretty nails without all the chemicals . thank you.
