I am currently being treated for the exact situation. I had gone to the dentist first because it felt like a terrible toothache which also moved around as you stated but the dentist found no issues with my teeth and referred me to my doctor for possible ear infection. I was prescribed antibiotics and nasal mist for treatment and this is the second day and still no relief. However, it may take a while for the antibiotics to work. I am relieved someone else had insight on this problem as everyone thought I was crazy.
Yes It is good that you wrote down your friends ear problem . I am having it now at this moment. I am having a decade tooth at the end of my jaw. Now tonight I am going to use sensodine tooth paste till I seethe doctor If the pain stops I do not go to him. Other thing is that I ate a piece of Papaya. That was very sweet and I believe that the juice has gone in the cavity, which gives me the pain.
