I posted on this thread a while back. I was having issues with a strange smell and knew it couldn’t be an infection. For those of you struggling, I did find that yogurt helped (eating, not douching like some suggested) but didn’t stop the problem all together. That makes me think it has something to do with Ph balance as probiotics are known to resolve those issues. Any who, the smell coupled with a dull pain on my right side, I think near an ovary, prompted me to have the thing removed. I went in yesterday and had the IUD removed and so far have had no issues. I am not even bleeding. The dull pain is gone and there is no trace of that smell. I am sure the IUD was the cause of both. Even though I found that the yogurt helped, the constant worry just wasn't worth it! So far, very pleased with my decision to have the thing removed. I will post back if anything changes.
I have the same problem, and I had my IUD in for three years know. Everytime I go to my GYN doctor he tells me the samething every visitation that i have VB. Im tried of the cremes and I want my IUD out, because its effecting me and myself esteem i feel uncomfortable being around people because off this foul smell.... ewwwwwww i cant stand it.
