You should Wikipedia this "simple parcial seizure." Brother is in med school so I called him after finding this forum to get some answers for myself. While I'm not worried, there MUST be an answer, some sort of trigger. This could be it.

"Fast feeling" that exactly what it feels like. I did go to the doctor to see what is happening. In the end all that I got was a comment "Your brain light up like a Christmas's Tree".

I always been the kind of person who would do something over and over again to be sure. Especially when it something that intrigue me. First of all it is not Stress, more like "intense focus". It happens (for me) when (usually) I try to over analyze something and get into a "rush".

AIWS would fits the symptoms but the not the triggers.  I did managed to trigger it during my scan, that is when I got the comment from the doctors. Yes doctors. Well there is nothing physically or mentally wrong. So don't worry to much ^^. Honestly I like the feeling.

Owh, if you feels like it is a bit to intense when it happens. Just focus on one spot and relax yourself, it should be gone in a few minutes. Or you could experiment on it ^^ try to move your head around (left right ..) you can feel like there is a delay on the image you see. Feels like your body have moved to the spot but your brain haven't register the image yet.

If you get a headache (mild) after the rush you should go to check your blood pressure. As far as I know there is no medicine for this "fast feeling" or the "rush" but it is manageable. It should becomes less and less frequent, I just got one just before I post this. It happens when I was setting up my football team in FB ^^, yes I put a lot of thought on the formation and who will be playing where.

This was my 1st rush in this year. 27 years old this year.

My son is 11 yrs. old and he is telling me the same thing, everything you described. I wonder if there are meds that can control this? would you know?

I found the answer "Derealization" look it up in Wikipedia, this is exactly everything I would describe the feeling to be and others have here. TIP when you feel it coming, just say "Bring it on" I like to add a f**k in for good measure. This is a great way to stop all panic attack situations, because the very act of saying " bring it the f**k on" is a stance of no fear, hence panic and worry dissipate.  It is basically standing up to a demon and looking him straight in the eye and saying you do not fear him, don't try not to panic or avoid it, that is its food. Stand up, square up to his face , then it loses all power because it relies on your fear of it. My competitiveness served me well again in an unusual way :)

I used to get this when I was young, my kids now get it too. I have been told that while we are growing our chemicals in our brain have to reassess their amounts so we occasionally get chemical rushes. they usually only last a few minutes. this has also been explained as why my daughter only sleep walks during a growth period about 2 weeks at a time, the chemical that is supposed to keep us asleep needs to increase to our new body weight and until it does we sleep in a light phase and sleep walking talking is more likely.

my daughter has this feeling too. she has it since she is 7 and she is now 14 still has it. it is very hard for her to explain it just like you said. I thought she had a nightmare, because it happened during sleeping. now she is able to explain more. and it sounds exactly what you have. when it happens, She totally awakes and understands what I was saying but keeps complaining that I said thing too fast or move too fast or something else moves too fast. and she is so scared. She told me to stop. Yes, this thing happens for about 5 min. There a year that it happens once a month. and lately may be once a year. She just had it again about 20 minutes ago. There was a time I thought she watched something scary, and it affected her. So I make sure she does not see anything scary and it did not happen again for a long time like a year or more. I really don't know what to do, so I searched online about it. can't believe that so many of you also have the same thing. Hope someone out there knows more about this thing and advice us.

I have also experienced this feeling multiple times in my life. It started when I was young, I'm now 29. It only seems to happen when I have a high fever. I experience different things sometimes my room feels like it is small, or large. My pillow feels like it is going to smother me, everything is moving fast in my mind. The last time it happened i felt like i had super strength and I was afraid of breaking a baby gate trying to open it. I found that if you run cold water over your head it will calm you down quickly.

I think I've solved the mistery.. I've recently looked for these symptoms I used to experience as a child, just out of curiosity. I've found a link to this page from a forum discussion. But I think I've found more, and I'm pretty sure I exactly know what it is now. It's called "The Rushes", and it is a sort of simplified Alice in Wonderland Syndrome. In particular, it is tied to migraines and has some sort of genetic tie (my sister and dad do not suffer the rushes, but have migraines with auras); note that despite being tied to migraines, it does not usually come with headaches.

I'm so relieved and quite encouraged that my son who is 16 is among so many that share these mysterious symptoms.  Trying to find an answer is also a mystery, but I truly feel that after all these years that it is a symptom of hypoglycemia with perhaps a mild condition of ADHD or simply hypoglycemia alone.  When my son has one of these symptoms, I have him drink juice or eat a carb. snack and the symptoms diminish.  Also he tends to have low blood pressure which sometimes leads to dizziness, mild fainting spells or brief blackouts.  Hope this helps many sufferers.  A healthy diet may improve symptoms along with more frequent meals/snacks throughout the day.  Best of luck!

I'm 13 year old girl and googled this and came across your answer, I get the feeling that everything goes 100 times faster then it should almost as if someone inside me is talking to me, I've never mentioned it because it sounds stupid and scared people won't believe me, but it happens frequently and lasts like 5 minutes

Wow amazing to see so many people have the same sensation as myself. It used to scare me when I was a kid and still does but not as much. I'm 43 and did not have many episodes in my 20 and 30s, yet have had more than a dozen in the last year. Funny how I get many of them when I play candy crush lol. I agree with the person who said its a similar feeling to ecstasy.

HAHA! That's funny. Just out of curiosity I looked this up and found this! It appears to be very common and I am remembering what started this in my early childhood.

When I was around 6 years old I had a really weird nightmare that I can still tell you today EVERY detail about it. Anyway what happened was my mother came around to the side of our house and told me not to through the q-tip away in my hand. At that moment in my dream I looked in my hand and a q-tip was there. Of course me being the dumb child I was I threw it away in the trash bin. At that moment I woke up. Nothing happened until the next day I stated heavily hallucinating in my bed of q-tips flowing out of my window. Oddly enough I forgot all about the dream at that time so I did not know what was going on. Later that day I started seeing the weird q-tip that was the same one in my dream and it was WAY out of proportion. sometimes it was HUGE and sometimes it was small. Also when I was experiencing that Everything started moving very fast in my head. Along with that I felt very angry at everything, but oddly I wasn't showing any anger. To me everyone and myself was speaking in urgency.

Anyway just this morning I had that vision of the weird q-tip and decided to look it up. Anyway that's my story-time for yall about my "q-tip curse"! (that's what I called it when I was young)

I've been curious about this and experiencing it since I was a kid, maybe 7-8 years old. I mostly would get it in school, during test taking, or when it was really quiet. As soon as I felt it coming on, I would resist it. I never liked it, I thought I was acting weird and others would notice. I would end up writing more lightly on my paper, to me it sounded like I was grinding the pencil into the desk. And I definitely was glued to my chair, I wouldn't get up because I thought other people would notice I was moving fast. So strange. I'm 24 now, and have gotten it twice this week. Although overall it happens much less than it used to. I'm curious, majority of the people that have posted are around the same age group. Maybe its because we are more inclided to research on the web? Anyway, I wonder how common it actually is. Maybe most people ingore it, have never thought to question what they are experiencing and kind of let it fall back into their subconscious. I used to think it was a sure sign that I was crazy. Definitely not the case!! thank you for sharing your stories.

Thank you all for sharing.  I have a 6 year old who just started complaining about these exact symptoms.  She says it is her nightmare and everything moves fast and it scares her.  I did not know what to make of it until I started reading through everyone's posts.

It seems to have some sort of correlation to this age.  For most they said it was 7 or 8 which would be the start of first grade.  Now they start full days of school in kindergarten which is where our 6 year old is.  A developing brain and a full day of structured learning.  Maybe that triggers some sort of response in the brain that yields the symptoms everyone is complaining of?

I am just happy to hear that everyone here manages these symptoms and that it is not anything that become debilitating and that I can safely tell my 6 year old that everything will be ok.

If anyone develops further diagnosis/treatment, please share.
