i have experienced this phenomenon when i was younger(i'm 21).i experienced this two weeks ago.if you don't move your head and focus on your job fast feeling becomes stronger(in my head at least).i feel all things around me is scared from something like an explosion.when i move my head everything become slow again and start to be fast again.i think this phenomenon is for Maturity.
I get this too! I've had it as long as I can remember but I get a sensation of having HUUGE hands at the same time, usually when Im asleep...but then I tend to wake up an it continues!?
Yes that's happened to me also but mine doesn't wear off in 5 or 10 minutes or like 20 it's very annoying it's been happening very frequently for the past weeks
I'm 18 and it's been happening to a 3-4 times a week now for the past month I don't know what the deal is I don't know how to overcome this it just gets so stressful do you have quick things are moving around how quick I'm sure you keep that quick I'm moving but I know I'm not moving quick at all it's all attic normal rage I don't know what's going on my head but it needs to stop
I used to got it so much when I was like 8 and 9 but I felt that it was because I was always playing with electronics and suddenly stopped playing and I would feel like if everything is going so quick and I would go and talk to my brother and tell him am I talking or moving fast.
Im only around 14 now but I used to get these very frequently.. I distinctly remember it happening in a dream where I was sitting on some grass in a dark forest with lots of mythical features and I was picking something(a flower or mushroom maybe) when I suddenly felt very rushed and scared but slow at the same time... I felt something similar to this in primary when I would get changed and suddenly feel this but it also happens when going up stairs. please help
Lol I would always talk to myself when this happened because it sounded funny. It usually happened while I was tired.
been having this since i was a child. i don't know what it's called. do you?
My son 9 years old has the same thing and it's started to happen very often now and im so worried he is crying and beging me to take hem to the doctor every night I have booked hem a visit so hopefully he'll get some help
I get them very frequently as well. It just happened again so I decided to look into it. It's really odd because even my breathing feels fast. I have tried just to take deep breaths to make it stop but it never works. If anyone has any insight on the subject I would love to know.
I keep seeing references to Alice in wonderland syndrome. Not sure cause I've never seen a doctor for it. It's been happening since I was pre-teen, it pretty much stopped for a few years. I'm now 29 and it's happened 2 or 3 times in the last couple months, I also get dizzy with it at times. If I can get to moving and be careful how I move my head it helps me feel more in control and it doesn't last as long. When I was young things would also feel extremely thick or extremely thin.
Omg! I thought I was the only one! Lately I've been getting these reactions a lot. Like everything is going so much faster and louder. Even with the weight of my own hand it feels like I'm carrying a bowling ball or something. I usually goes on for 2-3 minutes.
I used to get that feeling when I was about 5 or 6, but I think what would would happen to me was a bit different than your feeling. It would start off by everything around me is rotating, like I'm getting dizzy but not lightheaded. Then everything I see is moving fast like a clock, someone moving, someone talking, anything I see it's like someone hit the fast-forward button. When this would happen I don't move because I just watch everything, but I'm not thinking about it. Then the next thing I see is me, but I see my body just standing there and it feels like I'm flying, then I look around and everything is stopped. Then I hear a faint laughter of two little girls, I see them playing in a room with a workout ball. I could't make out there faces, but right when I got in the room, I'm back in my body and everything is normal. I told my sister and my mom like right after it happened, they didn't believe until my sister had twins. They think that what I had was a vision, and the two little girls I saw were my unborn nieces. They think that it was a vision because my grandma was indian and that she passed down her gifts to us and from there I think it just makes things complicated. I personally don't believe the whole indian part, but what I saw is impossible. Assuming that those two girls were my future nieces, but I think it could've been anyone. I still can't fully explain what happened that day, I just won't ever forget it. I almost forgot to say that it almost happened later that day but I stopped it, my head really hurted after that, and ever since then it hasn't happened. From time to time I get the feeling it's going to happen but then it stops, I want to experience it again, I want to understand what is happening to me.
Yeah I havnt felt this for as long as i can rmeber but not so much anymores! And this is my first time researching it and I didn't even know what to type! I am an identical twin and my twin and I use to get this!!! I really felt the sense of urgency and as I was moving my hand it just felt like I was trying to do it 10x faster ASAP , WHAT COULD HAVE CAUSED THIS? When I was growing up we were extremely stressed , where you guys too? And have u battled with anxiety?
I get this feeling too and it happens a lot. My mom says its kinda like a panic attack but idk. Its happened three times in the last few months and it lasts about ten minutes. It makes my head hurt really bad. Sometimes I just curl up into a ball somewhere and not move and that seems to help. I was just wondering if there is any kind of medication that can help with this feeling. I don't like the way it makes me feel and id really like to get rid of it.
