Trust me I had the same terrible feeling , as if your stomach was literally about to burst ? Horrible , just horrible! , feeling.

I have the solution! It was accidental, but what I did is I was in so much pain that I fell to the ground ( in a position as if I was about to do a push up) that's the key , to position your stomach / abdomen are to where it is at it facing the ground.

Get on your knees and lean over the ground or bed have your stomach Hoover the surface.

I promise it should cease to exist in about two minutes or less.

A tip , perhaps you are eating too late night as well ? That is when it triggers that intense awful feeling :(

Let me know if it works for you please ?? I guarantee it should !

Hi There,

Sounds like you might have gallstones or a slight problem with your gallbladder. This kind of pain is normally felt on the RHS of your upper belly near the ribs and is worse after eating.

Since March of last year I started experiencing intense upper abdominal pain. I went to the ER and Doctor's did a stomach scope which revealed Peptic Ulcers. After treatment they were healed but the pain persisted. After more test I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. I quickly switched to a gluten free diet but after a few month's the pain persisted yet again... It's a constant pain and then I have episodes of doubling over pain with or without eating doesn't matter along with severe cramping of the stomach. Just recently I was back in the hospital a week ago and they performed a HIDA scan to check out my gall bladder to see if it was contracting and performing correctly. Everything was normal. Doctor's then decided to do another ultra sound of my abdominal wall to see if there was any muscular skeletal issues... I already done two other ultra sounds of my gall bladder within the year but when they did this last one it revealed my gall bladder wall was thickened to 1.75cm, which is excessively large! I was having intense pain for a few days at the time, so I'm thinking that's why the other ultra sounds looked okay before... I was on anti-acid and every other drug in the world and nothing gave me relief except for being on serious pain medicine for almost a year! Not good... Anyway I had my Gall Bladder removed yesterday and currently recovering. Simple procedure and not uncommon anymore, we really have no need for the gall bladder anymore to help digest fatty foods. I hope this information helps, I think you need to get tested for Celiac disease though for sure. I don't want anyone to have to go through what I've been through this last year!!! Even though they're still not 100% removing my gall bladder will cure my pain, I pray it does! Stay positive and I hope you get better soon!!!

I have dealt with this all of my life, I am still attempting to get a diagnosis but I was a nurse and my opinion from what I suffer from is autoimmune chronic pancreatitis with associated chronic hyperparathyroidism. I am now 51, please see an gastroenterologist and ask for a consult with a digestive disorder doctor. It is most likely your abdomen that is causing the discomfort, also you will have to avoid simple sugars and alcohol !!

I had pretty much the exact same symptoms minus the back pain for about a week with the last 3 days being the worst, keeping me up at night with no relief from Mylanta or adjusting my position.  The doctor told me it could be gastritis or a peptic ulcer, but he sent me for an ultrasound to check for gallstones.  The results were normal, and in the meantime he told me to take Prilosec OTC (also known as Omeprazole) to cut down the acid being pumped into my stomach and Tylenol for the pain (don't take Advil or aspirin because it can make things worse).  Diet wise he said to stay away from dairy products and to eat bland foods like toast and jello.  I had some pain at night, although it wasn't nearly as bad, and the next day I didn't have any pain at all, although I still don't feel like eating all that much.  Hope this helps anyone that was suffering.

I've been having the same symptoms for 5 years now. changing doctors like crazy, my new doctor tested my feces for a bug better know as H.pyloric it causes all these symptoms and over time can cause Stomach Cancer. You may or may not have this but it doesn't hurt for you to ask your doctor to check for it.

I just started having similar symptoms a few weeks ago. (30y/o male, decent shape, no history of food allergies or stomach problems)

The first time was on a Friday afternoon a few weeks ago, I thought I was getting the flu so I left work. Ended up fine later that night so figured it was just something I had eaten.

Last Friday I got the same feeling after lunch. It felt like I had been doing crunches, mixed with some indigestion and nausea. This lasted for about 3 hours and went away in the evening.

I was fine all weekend (and I definitely ate terrible over the weekend!), then every day this week I've had the same problem after lunch. I'm normally fine in the morning (I usually only have a Belvita bar), and then after lunch it kicks in. Monday I figured it was from eating fast food, as I haven't partaken in it in a while, Tuesday I had grilled chicken wraps, yesterday I had the same lunch as I had been having for the last year or two (sandwich, etc).

Yesterday my upset stomach lasted from about 3pm-715pm, and then went away and I felt fine. I got home and ate some Goldfish crackers thinking I would see if maybe I just had a bug...and it got a little irritated after that.

Today I had a green smoothie for breakfast and I did notice a little upset stomach, but nothing like it normally feels like after lunch.

I don't have loose or bloody stool, I don't have sharp pains. I'm not tired or show any other symptoms. Just upset stomach, occasional nausea, and occasional feeling like I've been doing a bunch of crunches. It actually seems to subside when I stand up or lay on my stomach.

I'm guessing gastritis? I'm trying different combinations of food to see if it's better or worse at certain times. I'm going to go buy some probiotic, as I think that may help.

It's not debilitating paing, but it's annoying...and I'd like to get rid of it!

For the past Month or so I have been having the same issue. My stomach hurts to the point of sweating and passing out. The pain is so bad I vomit. The first time this happened it was 4am and I was awoken with HORRIBLE pain so bad that as I said I almost passed out and I was vomitting from the pain. I had BM after BM while vomitting, until I had nothing left in my stomach and was dry heaving. I laid in a tub full of hot water for at least 3 hours until the pain was manageable enough to go back to sleep. For three days after this spell I had a light nagging stomach ache in the same spot ( left of belly button all the way up to center of stomach under rib cage). It was nothing compared to the pain of that night but just enough to get on your nerves. Since then I have had no issues, until yesterday. It was about 12:30pm I took lunch and eat cambells sirloin burger soup (YUCK). At about 1:30pm the stomach pains began. By 3:30pm I was in so much pain I had to go home. This time was not as bad as the first, but bad enough. When this happens it literally exhausts me. I again took a hot bath for about 2 to 3 hours until I could manage. This morning I have that light nagging pain that I had previously. PLEASE HELP ME!  I have no health insurance. I want to know what's wrong and what to do to keep this from happening.

Sounds like pancreatitis.  My son is suffering from this.  Can be caused by a number of things, but worth asking for an ERCP to see if you have Sphincter of Oddi dysfunction.

I have had this all of my life, best suggestion is to eat small meals with low carbs and low fat and don't drink any alcohol, I didn't throw up all of the time but was always nauseous, I still pass out from these episodes, talk to your doctor and mention the pancreas. They may want to do an Upper GI scope and take biopsies of your stomach and small bowel, also they should check your gallbladder. They will also place you on medications to stop acid production, but insist on further testing, ask for all liver and pancreatic blood tests. You have to be aggressive in getting answers so they know how to treat you, and don't jump into any surgeries unless you get second and third opinions, I wish you well, at your age it can be difficult but if you find the cause of your problems you will learn what to do to treat yourself. Also you may want to have your doctor check other endocrine bloodwork, if pancreatic enzymes are abnormal. Don't be afraid, and feel better.

My mother has been going through same symptoms for 4 years. The doctor finally said she has crohns disease. You may want to ask your doctor to check for that.

i cant beleive the similarities im seeing in your symptoms to my own. ive been baffled as to what may be wrong partly because the feeling of uncertainty whether or not they (symptoms) r related to eachother. In my experience so far it crept up over night and was very mild and has just gotten progressively worse over the last week and a half or so. But the pain is increasing rapidly since yesterday. it switches from dull uncomfortability to feelings of cramping to sharp intermittent pain attacks that r lasting longer now after i try and eat. my apetite is decreasing drastically and ive had 2 to 3 eppisodes of significant nausea earlier n the week. im frusterated that i cant get an immediate response to my question of -What did u ultimately find out or did it just dissapear on its own? is it inapprpriate to give out an email address? mine not yours.
