Get them to check your gallbladder it may need to come out
Did you ever find out what this was? I am having the same issues and I live in Yemen so a bit hesitant about quality services for medical support and testing results.
Have you had any luck finding the source of your problem? I have been experiencing extreme abdominal pain on and off for 6-7 years. I think I've had almost every test imaginable. Sometimes my pain is only once a month, but sometimes several times a week. I've vomited from the pain several times. I went to the ER also several times only to be sent home knowing no more than when I started. I had my gall bladder removed, but that did not help at all. I know so many people who are having stomach issues and have not been properly diagnosed yet. The gastro doctors kept prescribing acid reflux medicines, but I'm pretty sure pain this intense is not from acid reflux.

Most of these symptoms sound like krohns disease
Hi, I have exactly the same symptoms. I have been taking 3-4 Zantac a day, before and after each lunch and dinner meal to alleviate symptoms, but 10 days in, it is not going away. Did you find out what your virus/bacteria/bug was?
Hi i'm 15 and I had the same problem. Most of the time it was from eating too late at night and going to bed straight after. Then right when i woke up i would have these pains. It often felt like my lower ribs and below were just empty as if i was starving. So, whenever this would happen to me, i would just use the restroom first, and if this does not help I would just eat. Nothing too heavy but something like ramen noodles or a small breakfast. It might not be healthy but i always bent over instead of standing so straight until after i finished eating. Whenever i was done eating it was like the pain had just vanished like it was never there. Hope this helps!
Even if you are checked for h pylori via bloodwork and it came back negative, there is a small percentage of people that it does not show up in the blood work. My daughter happened to be in this category. Three years later a primary care physician decided to send her to an endocrinologist. She had an endoscopy done, and he biopsied her stomach. The biopsy came back positive for h pylori. You can have your stool checked or you can do a breath test. The breath test seems to be the most accurate. You have to be off of any proton inhibitors (such as zantac, prevacid, etc.) for 10 to 14 days I believe in order for the test to read accurately. We went through the gamut before we finally got the proper diagnosis, even though h pylori was one of the first things they check for via blood work.
I've been experiencing same thing for the past few months but it's getting worse. ER don't do anything for me. Been having upper middle stomach pain that moves into my right ribcage. I'm nauseous. Have bad metal taste in my mouth. Can't eat or sleep. Does anyone know what this is?? Plz help.
Hi! I was on my way to church when I felt the same. I thought it was just ordinary cramp because I just consumed a half glass of milk and a cracker when I left. Probably it's also mild ulcer probs since I've been suffering from it years ago then I wasn't eating right for the past few days ever since my cat got lost. Although, I realized it's different this time because the pain was so intolerable that I could no longer walk. Too nauseous to even stand up. All I could do was cry. Good thing, my best friend called and he came looking for me. He made me take hyperacidity meds but then I rushed to the washroom and had diarrhea. I tried walking but then after several minutes, i felt like throwing up or sitting on the toilet seat again. The experience was horrible! He forced me to eat Skyflakes crackers and then took me home. As we were walking towards the condominium, I felt nauseous and threw up with all my might. The upper abdominal pain never left at all. My mom put efficascent oil on my abdomen but it was useless. They decided to bring me to the hospital. After injecting pain reliever drugs, I fell asleep. Then the nurse let me eat until I finally submitted for urinalysis and fecalysis. The doctor said that I am not allowed to eat oily, fatty foods. I also have UTI. He said that the abdomen acts like a catch basin for any organ pain. So my hyperacidity or mild ulcer probs + UTI = intolerable upper abdominal pain. I took antibiotics for almost 2 weeks but my abdomen still aches almost everytime. It's tolerable this time so I don't mind. The thing that bothers me is the pulsating or throbbing of my upper abdomen (above the navel, below the ribcage) It might be connected to my previous suffering.
I feel the exact same way and has lasted for about 2 weeks now. Any update?
The pain starts a couple of hours after lunch and lasts for 3-4 hours and depending on what I have for dinner may come back on some nights. The pain is like I have worked out my upper abdominal muscle. A dull pain that causes just enough discomfort to interrupt my sleep. The doctor diagnosed the condition as acid reflux and it hasn't quite solved my problem. So far after reading this thread I believe it should be either H.Pylori, Gallbladder or Celiac disease.

i am having all these symptoms you say you are suffering from, since this post is older, have you been able to diagnose this since then??
Is it after eating broccoli, avocado, cauliflower, or cabbage? This happens every time I eat broccoli, at first it was doubled over in agonizing pain for hours. Not even an entire bottle of beano would help. So I stopped eating it. Problem solved. Then it started with avocado and the others. Now I can't even have anything that has touched broccoli. it's that there aren't the right enzymes in the stomach to break down the food. Try getting a good enzyme and take it every day. Often times this sort of thing begins after a round of antibiotics because it kills the good bacteria in your gut as well. I stopped eating it because it made my babies fussy while breastfeeding. Then after staying of it for so long my stomach couldn't handle it anymore. I tried the enzymes and it helped with everything except the broccoli. Still can't eat it. Not that i loved it before haha. I hope this helps.
I'm exactly the same been at the hospital for months now and they think I have IBS but waiting to be referred back as I've also been to see a liver specialist as they thought it was that. I've no idea what causes it but pain starts late afternoon and lasts till I fall asleep, it can last for days and then goes away for a few weeks/months. I find a hot water bottle really helps ease the pain and makes it bearable.
I am 14 and I am experiencing this also except my pain is in the lower abdomen and it's started throbbing today. Did yours throb at all?
