Hi.
I was on suboxone 8mg films 3x/day since 2009 for chronic pain. During COVID, I slowly titrated myself to the 4mg films and then the 2mg films (it took about 18 months).
I could not fully taper off of suboxone 2mg because of the withdrawal side effects.
In January 2023, I made an appt with an addiction specialist in SAVANNAH, Ga. She recommended a Sublocade injection.
It’s now August 2023 and I never experienced any withdrawal symptoms. I am so grateful for this physician and for Sublocade. The physician is a director of the addiction clinic and she said in her experience, using Sublocade is the only way for patients to get off of Suboxone.
My health insurance paid for Sublocade and my co-pay was $50.00. I would have paid anything for the opportunity to get Suboxone out of my body.
Good luck!
