the same thing happened to me when i smoked weed. i am currently on 100mg of zoloft. the first time i smoked it felt like my heart was going to explode, and i kept checking my heart rate and asking people if i was going to die. other things i experienced are uncontrollable shaking, and anytime i tried to eat anything, i would end up throwing it up. in the end, the combination of weed and zoloft caused me to actually become more paranoid and anxious. i do not recommend combining these two drugs.

Same problem, smoked for 25 years. No issues really. Starting Zoloft ontop of the weed, has my mind melting and disconnected.

Hi, guys.

Here is an updated answer from our health expert.

Combining marijuana with certain medications, including Zoloft (sertraline), can lead to unpredictable and potentially dangerous effects on the brain and body. Marijuana can increase the level of sertraline in the bloodstream, which can cause the medication to have a stronger effect and increase the risk of side effects.

Some of the common side effects of Zoloft include dizziness, drowsiness, and difficulty concentrating, which can be exacerbated when combined with marijuana use. Additionally, marijuana can have its own side effects on the brain, including impairments in memory, attention, and decision-making.

It is important to talk to your healthcare provider about any medications or substances you are taking, including marijuana, to avoid potential interactions and negative effects on your health. They may recommend adjusting your medication dosage or discontinuing marijuana use to reduce the risk of adverse effects.
