No doctor would perform this procedure to lose weight! Why would you assume that? Lol
It just happened to be a side effect

Make sure they check your pancreas losing too much weight so fast is telling you is the Pancreas. Drs don't know anything my friend was losing so much weight he was very happy but losing weight too fast is also not good so later on hebwaa diagnosed with pancreatic and liver cancer he died 9 months later and the doctor kept telling him it was ulcers and stomach issues so he started to eat good an watch what he was eating and thought that he was doing the righ thing. Doctors are not going to do more for you unless you are after them all of the time telling them what to do.

I had my gallbladder removed two years ago and have lost 55 pounds. I was slightly over weight at the time and am now slightly under weight. At 5'8 I weigh 120lbs. I haven't been able to eat much with out the accompanying diarrhea, cramping and sometimes even vomiting. I had an endoscopy, colinoscopy and numerous test with no answers as to why this is happening. I am at my wits end..

Everyone's body is different.other underlining causes can make you lose or gain weight.my gb was going septic.I couldn't eat anything.I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis 2 years ago.I was gaining lots of weight which I should have gone the opposite way.I have a fat liver they said gb caused it.I am losing weight very well now I felt healed from ra two weeks then a car accident kicked me into flares again.until you have had all blood tests for diabetes thyroid and all those, it is hard to say it is or isn't the gb that is the offender.divorcing my gb was a great idea.they found it after I was vomiting blood.if you type on the internet weight loss and...*any disease* you can surely find it can be linked to anything.I have found that God is the only answer for me.I don't know what is or isn't wrong with me but God does and in his will I can be healed !

Not true ... You gain weight ... And it's hard to loose because your stomach does not produce the acid to help digest food fast

Before my gallbladder surgery I used to weigh 160 pounds. After my surgery I have maintained a weight of 140 pounds! I think my metabolism has gone back to normal cause I don't watch what I eat. I started eating ice cream again and cheese. I was afraid of gaining all the weight back but it's been 5 months since my surgery.
