Were we really Indigo Children? That's fascinating....

Also, i'm from Northern England, and the only person I know who gets the sensation, is my brother.
Sadly that video didn't trigger it for me, but I think I can understand how it would. For me, the sensation is triggered kind of differently. I mainly trigger it myself or something in the environment does it (but normally I have to help it out a bit). I think in the past, I was triggered by the attention of others but I can't really remember exactly how it felt. I think it felt a little different from what I experience now, although, I do get all the feelings you guys talk about and also a little headache (not even worth taking advil for) after having the sensation a lot in a short amount of time. I'm wondering if there's anyone else out there who can trigger the sensation on their own as well.
Brandedmusic66 - what is the Yahoo group name?
hmm. iv actually been trying [not often] to meditate so i can trigger it at will. i think i almost have it down. when you meditate you have to figure out how to focus on not focusing because you will over think the process and nothing will happen. take yourself out of the room you are in [not physically] and erase everyone. it may not work if there are loud disruptions however it can be effective if there are movements from others. this is a start for meditation. figuring out exactly what triggers the sensation is up to the individual. when im at the computer i can almost always, when trying, feel the sensation start up, but once i know its approaching i over think the whole process and it just dies. i do wonder however that by triggering it ourselves will this prone us more open to headaches or other things. who knowsss.

as for the yahoo group, the admin. keep erasing the links i post and im not sure of any other way to post it. the name of the group is sos_08 Society Of Sensationalists. im not sure maybe you can google it or what not but every time i post the link or give out screen names they get erased.

as for the indigo children, it could be. we will never know until the entity of this movement takes full form and actions are taken. you must be willing to think outside of many different boxes and accept certain tides of fate, spirituality, and powers/progress of thinking. i thought it was crazy when my friend told me about it. but the more ya think about it and the more you think about the ways that you, yourself think, you cant help but wonder do we all have a purpose here outside of dirty politics, blue collar/whit collar jobs, lower class, middle class, upper class. where do we fit in? [this isnt very relevant to the weird sensation but it could be something to the indigo children] all i can say is for anyone that doesnt know about the indigo children is to do your own research. its not something you can preach to people and expect them to pick up on. you will discover and know if this is you. also if interested my friend has a group of indigo children. :-)
“Attention Induced Head Orgasm”… ahahah… That’s clever.

I had never mentioned this amazing head sensation to anybody until reading it on this page... I guess I assumed everybody felt it, sort of like goose bumps. As I got older and noticed nobody talked about it, I became more curious to what it was. I’ve asked friends and family if they have these sensations but all I get are puzzled looks. You guys are right, there is no documented information on AIHO. I’m a Hispanic female so I don’t think it has a lot to do with sex or race, but maybe more males experience it than females. Or maybe there’s a peak age, or perhaps those of us who feel it share other beliefs or a certain type of personality. There are definitely many questions we freaks would like answered. Someone needs to come up with a questionnaire that all of us who get these can fill out, that way it will be easier to come up with statistics. We can add more questions as we go along :)

Name: Ali
Age: 30
Sex: Female
Race: Hispanic
Residing: Irving Texas, USA
Astrology Sign: Aries
Chinese Sign: Horse
Diagnostics of any kind (ADD, ADHD, Autism, OCD, Narcolepsy or others): None
Age of first AIHO: 6

AIHO Experience: Just like others have explained, I can get AIHO when someone is observing an item belonging to me such as a paper, makeup, reading something off my screen, ect. Sometimes I’ll go months without this happening but this week it’s happened twice. First it was during a conversation with a female coworker. She needed me to type something up for her and was reading it over the phone. The sensation started as soon as she began giving me instructions on how she wanted it. It would reach its full intensity when she would pause as if she lost her space or read slowly unsure of what it said. The second time was yesterday when a male friend sat next to me reading a description of my zodiac sign. He wasn’t reading it out loud nor did I have to be looking directly at him. Just by feeling that he was using all his mind and focus felt completely fabulous! In fact on some occasions when he did read certain words out loud, the sensation would go away immediately. I would feel the tingly chills in my head intensify when silently he would underline what he thought especially pertained to me. I wish everybody could experience AIHO but I do feel special discovering not everyone has the luck of enjoying these marvelous head sensations. It’s like a non sexual ecstasy feeling. For me it can be triggered by male, female, child, adult, stranger or someone I know, spanish or english speaking. Even if their language or thoughts are foreign to me. Like once I got it while getting a manicure by a non english speaking chinese lady. Those moments of sensing and feeling someone is in complete concentration take me to this euphorically blissful moment I wish would NEVER end!!
lol. that was enjoyable to read pixielove >_< the beginning was. you are definitely right. i do strongly believe that there are similarities in either our personalities our moods or all around our outlook on certain things upon society. it could be any number of things. in the yahoo group i have, along with some other members, started a list of questions to compare, and have been encouraging other members to come up with their own questions. When there are enough members and hopefully an UNLIMITED amount of questions all of us can answer them and start to piece together on our own what we agree to be some of the main theories on why this happens to us "freaks" (= there are going to be lots of things and lots of organizing among all of us if we want to figure anything out. so unity is a must! the name of the yahoo group is sos_08 Society Of Sensationalists. you can google it to find it. hope to see some more members!!!
I don't know if I totally get or buy into the Indigo children thing. Not that I'm judging it; but I've never really felt or been through some of the things listed. Plus, my worldview is different than that of what is mentioned.

I am surprised that more people do not have some form of a sleep disorder or anything else... I have narcolepsy and studying what causes it made me think that it had something to do with it.

With narcolepsy you don't ever have a true rem sleep cycle... It jumps all over... so you're more likely to experience dream-like states or euphoria during waking moments as a result. I'm told it cannot be corrected... just treated.

I'm curious... are any of you anxious people. Not anxiety, but anxious... like always ready for something to happen... constant anticipation... it seems at the height of anxiety I can feel that the most....

I'm 28, caucasion, male, from Ohio.... I don't think race, sex, or location have anything to do with it... I think aging can slow it though.
I do not suffer from narcolepsy or anything similar so I can't speak for anyone else, but for me it has nothing to do with any form of sleeping disorder.
Also, I'm the opposite of anxious. I'm super laid back.
I am a 26 year old female from Georgia (originally SC). I've been experiencing what I formerly referred to as "head-gasms" for as long as I can remember. Like many of the other posts, I am triggered by some asking me for something or using something that belongs to me. I am also triggered by back rubs (light touches, not massages) and by someone playing with my hair. When I get the sensation, it's like waves starting at the base of my skull and culminating at the crown of my head. Once I get started, I am able to use memories of past triggers to keep the feeling going for anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour. Sometimes the intensity will give me a slight headache, but it's totally worth it. You guys are right, it's a non-sexual feeling that pretty much rivals an orgasm!

I was so happy to find this topic and know that I'm not alone!
Wow, this is so great to finally find out that there are other people who experience this! I've been wondering about it for a long time, and I'm curious as to what exactly is happening with our brains.

I have the same triggers as what most people have said here; watching my piano teacher play, playing the "guess the letter" back game thing, and watching people draw/write carefully are the main ones for me. It's always in my head and upper back though, never my lower body.

Oh, also, there was this one time when my mother's friend took me to a "deeksha" meeting. We sat silently with our eyes closed in a dark room with a lot of other people, and a few special people went around and made weird gestures and light touches on peoples' heads. That really set it off for me, and I could still feel it after the person left. It seemed that some, if not all of the people there felt this, or maybe something similar. I don't know why else a bunch people would get together in a basement to do that.

By the way, I am a 15 year old Asian girl. I hope this sensation will be fully explained some day!
I EXPERIENCE THIS TOO ! ! !

i don't know what made me sit down at the computer today and type this into google but i'm sure glad i did !

i experience everything (i skimmed the articles) that everyone else seems to be as well !

it usually only happens to me when someone i do NOT know, like a new person, or my new boss, or something is explaining it to me.
Also if one of my classmates is explaining something to me.

the way i would describe the sensation is that it is located in my left-hand-side of my head, in the back.
it feels SOOO good and sometimes i have to really stay focused and try not to let the person know they're making me feel so good.

jesus christ !

there has to be a name for this.... occurrence !!!

haha it makes me feel dumb to describe it...

i'm a 19 year old college female.
This is so weird, I just got the feeling and decided to google it. I've got it all my life (22 now) & just assumed it was a normal sensation so I never asked anyone else about it. I thought it was some intense orgasmic butterflies in the stomach type effect but I could never find the name for it! So its as of yet to be classified/discover!? Weird!! Its such a good feeling!

The most common trigger for me is when people of either sex that I don't know explain stuff over the phone to me e.g. Computer repair people. I also get it from youtube videos of people talking or explaining stuff.

Male, Caucasian, 22, fit.
Hi all. I came across this thread by accident while passing timer after a tonsillectomy.

I have had this experience you are all talking about and dont think it is as rare as you all think. I remember as a child entering a meditative state and having a lovely buzy feeling in my head.

I have also experienced the feeling of waves of tingling over my head and body. This has been brought about in many ways:

- watching someone drawing

- Lying in a luke warm bath, i will get shivers which go up my body and onto my head, i can make this continue by stroking my skin.

- someone stroking/massaging my hands, feet or back. My boyfriend also talks about head tingles if i massage him as above. That said we are the same sort of people and dont concider ourselves 'usual'.

I do not get this feeling often and can not make it happen at will like some of you can and have never payed it any thought. I realy do believe that everyone gets it to some degree or another. Doesnt everyone feel it when the hairdresser washes, cuts and dries your hair ?

I watched the rubix cube film but that had no effect on me. I think that you all are having a normal experience but you are more in tune to it and have a heightened experience(all of us experience the world differently).

I wish you all good luck with your experiences. :-D :-D :-D
lol I find it funny so many have had the "gasm" and was like "wth is this?"... Like most on here tingles in the scalp, back of the neck....
Triggers -
-Watching someone slowly do something or carefully (drawing, writing, etc),
-Really intense when GF gives back rub. I think it has more to do with her intentions then her hands (sounds weird but i think that describes it)

Little experiment I wanted to try is that on youtube I found a poster whos videos have been triggering this pretty constant....

http://www.youtube.com/user/fafinettex3
Not sure of the girls name but when she talks throughout the video it triggers them, now she has different videos some with her talking and doing and some with doing with talking laid over. Her talking and doing trigger better then the doing then talking....

Im just curious as to wither if others were to watch would the same feeling occur? Earliest I can recall this is when watching my aunt count up pennies ( i think i was around 10 or so)....

As far as triggering manualy it feels like sometimes I can and others its just not "there yet"... weird but ya...

all good, glad to know not the only one
