I was smoking weed when I got prescribed wellbutrin twice a day, around the end of my second week, I got a seizure.
I smoke daily and was taking 300mg of Wellbutrin XL a day (mainly for depression, but also for occassional anxiety). For me, the combination of the two caused increased the frequency and intensity of anxiety attacks. My doctor had warned the same thing - that the effects of the drug would be canceled out by smoking weed - and I definitely saw that.
My son had a horrible reaction to smoking pot and Wellbutrin. He didn't sleep for 5 days and has never felt the same since.... now 3 months later. I'm trying to find info on how to help him because his head feels like sh*t now. He's been in an out patent psychiatric Day program for a month. They teach coping skills but he wants the head feeling to go away. So I'm trying to research but can't find anything. I strongly recommend avoiding pot on Wellbutrin. It's costs my son his mental health. No exaggeration.
What pot have you smoked that increases your heart rate.. That makes no sense.
How long for effects to fade? SWIM took 900 mg about 14 hours ago and he still feels dizzy and is hallucinating.
I get the same heart rate effect, but I found I was smoking too much. Reducing my dabbing dosage typically fixes the issue.
Thank you all for sharing your experiences. I'm on 450mg/day of Wellbutrin XL (max dose for years) and recently picked up some edibles during a trip to Colorado. Have never touched cannabis in any form previously. I read some reviews of the product I bought and someone mentioned having a seizure—and the light bulb went off in my head that maybe I'd better research this some more before trying it. Sounds like some people do OK, others get psychotic, some have seizures. I'm not taking the risk. It's disappointing, but I just can't justify it.

My vision was like crazy I was feeling hollow like I wasn't in reality then sht was feeling more distant than it was my heart kept racing and my head had this pressure inside of it. I think it's Bc I took a bupropion of 300mg and smoked some good strong ass strain of weeed, but this never happened before. I just also started takin that many doses of the bupropion pill. I was very u comfortable and kept trying to control myself from panicking and finally forced myself to sleep.

actually thc does increase heart rate initially hence the anxiety stage of the high. It should dissipate relatively quickly.
I am taking wellbutrin and I have smoked pot a handful of times and I can no longer get high but if I skip my dose that day I can feel the effects of the marijuana.

Wow your just hurting yourself. Get off the Wellbutrin and continue being a pot head. You are trying to treat your mental health issues with the very thing thats likely causing your problems.

I had seizures from smoking pot on Wellbutrin as well and it really freaked me out. What should I do, it wasn't the first time.
