What causes this, how should I treat it?

I have a calcium deposit (I'm assuming, people have suspected thats what it is) inside my left earlobe. I've never had this before, not quite sure what causes this, or how I should treat it. It is only sore to the touch, and you can't see it, but it feels as though a pea has been implanted in my lobe. Please help!
