So I see all the stoners here are in agreance that smoking weed while pregnant is acceptable. It's easy to defend an action you take part in yourself! I can't tell you how important it is to rely on scientific FACTS, you know STUDIES THAT HAVE BEEN COMPLIETED TO PROOVE THINGS.... They don't make these claims that marihuana is harmful to the fetus for fun.

12 years ago I gave birth to a beautiful and healthy baby girl... and I smoked pot the whole time I was pregnant. She has grown into a very healthy and smart child and has rarely been sick sine birth. 12 years later I am in Florida and having my second child. I am still an avid smoker though I dont smoke an eighth a day as the poster indicated. The pot has really helped me this time with the morning sickness and lack of appetite. So why do I feel persecuted everytime I to see the doctor... they ask me about my history of drug use but say it in such a way like Im shooting up on heroin or meth or something. Im like a smoke a joint to help relax and help with the nausea... surely they would understand that. But instead I made to feel like some skanky criminal. Not really sure why it matters anyways - its not like i am using a free clinic and having a medicaid pay for my services. I pay damn good money to be covered by private insurance. I understand that smoking pot probably presents the same risks of smoking tobacco - but you know what my mom and whole generation of women smoked cigarettes and gave birth to healthy normal babies. It actually infuriates me because I know they dont waste time testing me for alcohol which is by far worse for the baby than the little smoke I do in the evening.
