precipitated withdrawal only lasts 4-24 hours max you should have waited out the withdrawal took your second sub and you would have been fine

If you're not in withdrawal, 3 or more any opiate will work ev3n suboxone or subutex. Now methadone a whole different story, it's easy for the first three days the comes on stronger every day and withdrawals get really rough

Sorry, I meant "if you ARE in withdrawals" and for awhile. I took 8mg while sick for 3 days the film, didn't feel much and took 8mg more

So is it harmful if I mix oxymorphone after taking subutex? It's been about 4 hours or more since I took the subutex

everybody is different, you seem to have a great will and maybe a little luck.

I've been on suboxone for a few months and I have the instructions/Q&A that come with the script right in front of me:

To people saying that the Naloxen in suboxone is what is stopping you from getting high and removing opiates from your receptors are completely wrong. Naloxen is only in suboxone to prevent SHOOTING IT. It has virtually no bio-availability when you take it sublingually (under the tongue). They only included it because people where crushing the old suboxone pills and shooting it up. The reason why suboxone works is because buprenorphine is a synthetic opiate that is stronger and "sticks" onto the receptors longer. It also has a longer onset (about 90 min to kick-in vs minutes to seconds with fast acting opiates). That's why you can be sniffing 80mg of oxy and only need 8mg of suboxone to not withdraw. The buprenorphine connects to where the opiates were and stops the withdraws. Because its half-life is around 24 hours (compared to 4 hours for fast acting opiates) so you can take one in the morning and go all day feeling normal and not withdraw. This stops physical withdraws and the mental urge for the "rush". As you build a habit of not having that rush anymore. It allows you to readjust to being normal and not doing all the things we do in desperation to avoid withdraws. The withdraw of suboxone is also slower and more shallow because it depletes from your system so slowly. So instead of sweats and restless leg on day one. You maybe get 2 nights of slight cramps 2 days after stopping and can alleviate it easily with tylonal.

The dreaded "precipitated" withdrawal happens if you take suboxone sooner then 12 -16 hours of your last fast acting opiate dose, or 24-36 hours of a long acting opiate like methadone. This is because the buprenorphine will attach to any exposed receptors and prevent any other opiate from attaching. So you can't take more opiates to relive yourself. The reason you must wait so long before taking suboxone is so enough receptors are exposed to now be filled by the suboxone.

BY the way I got this information because 1) I've been on suboxone for a few months and 2) it's written on the instruction packet that comes with the prescription.

Half of these questions can be answered on the suboxone website.

You must of gone to some really bad 12 step meetings. The only expectation of the 12 steps is the DESIRE to get clean and going to meetings so you can connect with people. That's it! Anyone else in those meetings who says otherwise is just trying to impose their will upon you. I feel for you because it is a big problem in 12 step groups but then again you can't expect those meetings to be a hot bed of mental stability.
