Hello I'm 16 years old and have had this condition for 1 year. I dont know how it started but its affecting my life. I can't enjoy life as I use to. Thats how much its having a impact on my life.  Whenever I get hot from exercise, eat spicy food, angry, nervous, embarrased, its like I'm getting poked by needles everywhere on my body, it happens on my back, chest, arms, hands and sometimes my scalp. The pain lasts for like a couple of minutes.  I can't take this any longer. Its too painful and its ruining my life. I will start college and I don't want to experience pain as it may potentially affect my study life. I have went to the GP once and all she gave me was Cetirizine (anti histamine) and shampoo. DIDNT EVEN WORK. Please, anyone, if you know or have had this please tell me I'm begining to lose hope. Thank you for reading :'(

Yeah, your conditions and 'relief' are on par with the rest of us! From your diction, I take it that you are located somewhere in the UK? It appears that this itching problem is occuring to many people across the world. And yes, my symptoms dissapear instantly the moment I sweat, so I am thinking the issue is a sweat gland-related issue, not a nerve. Funny enough, the urgent care staff believed this to be a pinched nerve, but I strongly disagree with their hypothesis. I had a strong and chronic case of hives due to some unforseen allergy which dissapeared long ago, but is now replaced by this new itching/painful sensation.
It's changed my life significantly, and in a bad way. Things I use to look forward to, yeah out the window now.
I want to check up on everyone suffering from this awful illness. How are we all?
I'm still going thru this needle pain I have been keeping track of symptoms and triggers for the pain Pins and needles Symptoms Pain I'm arms legs torso and face Weakness Light-headed What makes it happen Pins and needles when hot or anxious Laughing to hard ,trying to workout, driving and something causes a quick reaction or being in the sun
Yes, I too have the identical symptoms and triggers! That is good, at least now we know what triggers this painful sensation! Okay, in that case, may I ask you if you are allergic to any thing? Perhaps you have had severe hives in the past (few years ago)?
has anyone found a remedy or solution yet I CANT STAND THIS
I think this is a pinched nerve. When I do heavy activities, the nerves become irritated and sting my entire body. I do not know of a cure yet. I will let you all know as soon as I find one.
Does this happen to you when you are out in the heat because that is when this happens to me.
Yeah, it happens to all of us when we are out in the heat or our bodies get hot from physical exercise, exertion, emotion, etc. This condition is disabling in the truest sense.
I do not think this actually can be a pinched nerve, as that affects only the nerve(s) that are "pinched." The pinching happens in the spinal column when a vertebrae misaligns and the specific nerves that pass through that vertebrae become pinched. There is not one specific nerve that affects all of the skin on your body - each body part's peripheral nerves (the nerves that affect the skin) goes through the vertebrae that is closest to that part - i.e. the peripheral nerves that are responsible for skin sensations for your arms enter through vertebrae that are closer to your neck while nerves for the skin on your trunk travel through vertebrae that is closer to your center, and your leg skin nerves travel through the vertebrae closest to them. To have all of your body's peripheral nerves pinched yet none of your central nerves pinched seems incredibly unlikely if not impossible. I am going to make a post to the thread below about some avenues, however, to attempt some relief. I hope you have found some in thre months since you first posted this.
Hi, just saw your response, and it sounds closer to what I experience and am wondering in your research, MRI scans etc, whether you have found anything else out? I am driven absolutely insane, waking up scratching these painful blunt needles coming out leading to those red bumps on my skin..it is affecting my sleep and life. It seems to be precipitated by a change in weather, static/barometric pressure, but then other things seem to then trigger it as well, like I become more susceptible by the onset of the condition with the weather change, things that would not normally trigger it, like temperature, possibly foods, other contact items. My mum used to experience it and did get parkinson's...so that is what I am worried about, it is a symptom/warning that this is coming. She was allergic to a few things that I am allergic to, wool, and some other contact items (jewellery). So wondering if you found out anything more?
im also on adderall and this happens to me as well
I also go through something similar to everyone. The moment I begin to exercise get in the sun or do anything that increases internal body temperature I get the prickly stabbing electric shock sensations across my body. It's when a sweat response comes up. When my palms get moist I feel it immediately in my hands. I also had an allergy test done to see what I'm allergic to and my entire body got red and brought on the painful sensations without getting hot. If anyone has overcome this please post about how who you saw and what you did. There is a way out there to overcome this. people going through this just need to collaborate and doctors need to collaborate.
my whole stoamch becomes red and i get hives. then on my arms i get red dots that aren’t elevated
Try a exfoliating glove in the shower, I use it twice a week and noticed a great improvement. In my case I believe my pores were clogged and made it painful to try to sweat.
