white bump on throat

Wow - I am so glad I decided to look this up on the net. I have had these lumps on and off for years. They are so bad at the moment, I pop out (using my finger - yuk) about 2 every day. This bout has been going on for a month, so I went to the doc. He said he had never seen it before. He sent of a sample to see what it was, and on my next visit, he said the result said "normal". What rubbish - I wanted to know what it was ie food, puss whatever. He took another sample to send off and put me on an antibiotic. I have been on them for 3 days now. There seems to be none there this morning. However, after reading all the advice from fellow suffers, I will now use peroxide and I will also try no dairy. From all the comments I ahve read - I seem to have the most severe case. It is not food catching in the tonsils. I have popped them out in the morning and had no food for hours and they are bacK. Will keep trying - thanks.

I have two tonsil stones as of right now... I have had one before and it shook lose while I was sleeping and I woke up gagging on it but I couldn't get it out of my throat... My problem is my gag reflex is soo bad that I can't get anything to the back of my tongue even... So every time I try a qtip I vomit before I even get that far. Is there anything else I can do? I am way too tired of this horrible feeling in the back of my throat!!

I feel I get it the day after I eat popcorn. not sure if its a coincidence or not.

i had that two days ago just mix some salt and water warm it and rinse r goggle ur mouth and you are good do it 3 times a day then after 5 days its gone..

I am going through something just like this, only it seems to have a little bit of a yellowish tint as well. I just put hp on it but it hasn't come out yet. I am still worried....

 

Had the same thing...seems to come here and there. If you dont have Peroxide... I usually just take the end of my toothbrush (non bristle part) and slightly press around it. You will see it stick out further and futher until it pops out. I NEVER swallow it. Just spit it out...gargle with warm water and salt. And ur done.

i agree with every one lets i call them little green brain balls (that look like a brain) it's fine 

Today is 4/21/2013 all day today since about 8am I have had this feeling in the back of my throat like I swallowed a hair that became lodged right at the back of my mouth right below the uvula, it wasn't to bad until about 6:30pm then it became very uncomfortable so I decided to ball up some bread chew it a little then swallow it hoping it would take the hair with it, of course it did not although it gave me a little relief. At around 7:00pm I couldn't take it any longer and finally went into the bathroom to look into my mouth hoping the hair was going to be sticking out for me to grab it, well that wasn't the case instead I saw what appeared to be a white head just slightly left of the center of my uvula, of course I started to freak out thinking it was some type of cancer (even though cancer is usually dark in color) so I went online and typed whitehead on uvula and it brought me here to this site thankfully. After reading nine or ten of the posts I calmed down and went into the bathroom and grabbed a Q-Tip w/out the peroxide on it and began slowly swiping at it (try not swiping fast or pushing hard as you will gag and poke the back of your throat and that does not feel good) sure enough after the second slow but firm swipe it began to move then after the sixth or seventh try it finally came off of the uvula (with instant relief I might add). It was firm but still had some give to it and had no odor like some of the other people had said ( maybe I got mine out quicker so it didn't have time to begin to rot). All in all I just want to say thank goodness for the internet and people who share their experiences, had it not been for them I would have thought I had cancer until going to the Doctor tomorrow and spending a hundred bucks to do so just to be told it's benign and can be removed by me. Thanks again everyone for posting and to everyone else with the same problem don't freak out just grab a Q-Tip and get it out carefully.

Yesteday i noticed I had a small tonsil stone on the back of my throat and just scratched at it with my fingenail and it came off very easily (this could be because it was tiny). Afterwards i rinsed really well with listerine and pobed around th back of my throat a little more with a Q-tip... oh my WORD! The BIGGEST, nastiest, yellowish-green tonsil stone popped out of someplace that I couldn't even see, it must have been hiding behind some folds in my throat.  After that one, another much smaller but still gross tonsil stone dislodged itself. I wanted to throw up once the whole ordeal was over, it was AWFU! I would suggest investigating your thrat and poking around in the back a bit more like i did because i couldn't see or feel the monster of a stone until i poked around. I have no idea how it all got there... i am a FREAK about my mouth and teeth and am always brushing so i don't know... it was just gross.

Yeahh,I have just noticed a white colour stone in my left tonsil.I got scared ! But now I will try to remove it myself.I think it will be helpful.

Hey i jus discoved this bump as well. I was exercising when i stopped to drink some water and i felt like something was stuck in my throat. Upon looking a saw this big white ball to the back right side stearin at me. At first i though it was creatine chews that got stuck so i took a spoon an tried to remove it but it didnt move. I started to think i had some sort of cancer! So i google it an got my answer. Strangely though i felt another lump inside my throat itself last week and thought maybe it was jus something i ate. Feeln kinda relieved though bt mine jus wont come out, and its 2! I no my mom is gonna freak when i show her!!
