i get those all the time just bite on it really hard

You can get these from chewing gum because your tongue is active while doing so. The main cause is a scrape or cut of unnoticeable size or constant irritation of the same area. A sharp tooth or awkward resting spot will create them. They will be sporadic and seem to have no reason for those who do get them. Pulling or cutting off does not help. Mouthwash does not help. Food and drink makes it feel worse. To minimize the time dealing with the pain you have to just deal with it and try to avoid things that cause it in your individual case. I get them in the same place because if a chipped tooth. When I used to bite it or scratch it, it worsened causing more pain and more bumps. You pretty much have to go on a diet to rid the problem quickly. Stick to water and bland foods, rinsing afterward with water and keeping your tongue still. They can last a few days or 10 days depending in how you care for yourself. I don't wish this on anyone and I know how hard it is to explain it to someone else. They will never know our sleepless nights and bad attitudes.

I've got this white bump thing aswell and the last thing I remember doing before I got it was eating really hot rice, although it was hot it never stopped me eating it as I was hungry then next thing I know I got this white bump so could just be a burn, but others may not think this

I noticed that I get those when I dont drink enough water. I have one right now and I'm super dehydrated.. My lips are dry and the stupid tiny bump is right under the under side of my tongue..I'm gonna try the saline swish, but I think it's mostly because of dehydration.

There is no home treatment for this, so I hope you've been to the doctor,

because early diagnoses and treatment are essential

Ur an ass. Poor person is hoping it isn't. And for ur info swollen lymph nodes could be either tonsillitis or an infection. Not necessarily cancer. Smh.

I had this for three days and thought I had just bit my tongue until today I saw a little white bumb on the very tip of my tongue. I bit it and messed with it all day and just a few minutes ago I numbed my tongue with ice, took tweezers and nail clippers and started pulling and cutting it. Now its gone and I felt no pain.

My doctor has put me on a drug called Cephalexin 500 MG. The swelling has gone down but I still can see the white pimple but not as large.

I went to the doctor today with the same problem. He said we all have tiny dots on the side of our tongues. I must have bit it to irritate it but the swelling will go down eventually

Guys, little bumps on your tongue, especially when you are sick or getting sick...those are Canker Sore http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0001993/ basically a Cold Sore, but a different kind of herpes. Nothing to worry about, they may hurt and suck a little but cutting them off aint gonna do no good, just gonna cause you pain...they'll come back. But if they're over the size of the eraser on a pencil...i'd go get that checked out.
