Have you taken metronidazole gel for BV ? I found this site last night.

askapatient.com/viewrating.asp?drug=20208&name=METROGEL-VAGINAL

I was on this med last week. Today my OBGYN still thinks it's yeast. I'm currently being treated aggressivly for yeast although I believe it is the meds. I'll let you know how it goes.

Just curious did any of you ladies use rePHresh or replens? I had this problem once and discovered this is a problem for some women using these products. It seems the products can solidify. At least that's what it was in my case. Won't be using those again!

Please can someone find out what this is! I have had the same thing for over a year now, I even went to four different doctors! No smell, no itching, just clumpy, white, and the same as others I can "scoop" it out of me. All the same results, no STD's, not a yeast infection! But I have the bloating, and the tiredness

I have had the same problem off and on for almost a year. I have been having a white clumpy discharge that is very similar to wet toilet paper. Sometimes the discharge has a odor that smells like spoiled milk, but not fishy. I have gone to the doctor several time and my results came back normal. I was diagnosed once with strep b(over growth of good bacteria) and i was given antibiotics. I have done research and I think that i may have cytolytic vaginitis. Apparently this is an overgrowth of normal bacteria that causes the vaginal ph to increase, which results in a very acidic vagina. The solution is to counteract the acidity by using a bicarbonate douche. The recipe is 600ml water to 1tsp baking soda. The douche neutralizes the vagina. I have not tried it yet, but i will. I will let you ladies know what happens.

Look up cytolytic vaginitis and i bet thats what we all have!

Hmm, maybe it has something to do with having an IUD?

I also have an IUD, the no hormone, copper one though...

But seriously have very thick, clumpy, white, odorless, discharge, if I put my finger in and take it out, its covered in little white clumps, and like said previously, I can literally scoop it out too, pretty weird! I have been also noticing some strange digestion lately as well...feel like I have been having less bowl movements lately and also, just feeling bloated in a way I normally don't...

I read somewhere could be a hormonal imbalance and due to increased estrogen and in your diet such as increased soy...which I have just swtiched over to soy milk/soygut/soy cheese..I'll stop for a while and see if there is any improvements. if anyone has any luck figuring what this is let us know!

If there is no strong unusual odor, and you've been cleared of a yeast infection...then believe me..it's totally normal. I have had 2 children, I'm married, healthy, clean, disease free..and i get the same thing. I know my sister does too (through conversation).....mine doesn't stay though...sometimes it's clumpy...sometimes it's liquidy...it changes all the time. Our mucus changes with our menstrual cyle and fertility cycle...so any changes in those areas can make changes in our natural female discharge. If your discharge is constantly changing, thin, fluid, thick, clumpy, clear, white...then I say it's normal...IF it is consistently clumpy...check with a doc again....

lol, I was wondering what that stuff was. It was bothering me a lot but I'm only 17 (sorry, being honest and was looking to see what it was), I've only had sex with two people (the first a virgin, the second cleared of any STDs or anything), I'm not on birth control (I use condoms), I don't have a yeast infection, and I haven't had any surgeries and there is nothing wrong with me.

It definitely was bothering me though.

I'm so glad there was this post. :]

Here goes, apologies up front for the following being so long and drawn out!!!
I just noticed this last night but thinking back I remember it around this time last month and I also remember after I had sex there was clumpy white stuff on him. I just thought it was my nayural sex lube but thicker. There have been two different things going on in my life lately, one is that I have changed birth control pills and missed a couple of pills and the second is that I had started taking supplements for my adrenal gland and just stopped when I ran out. Ive changed BP pills before and never had this so I am thinking it maybe the mixture of the BP pills and the adrenal gland. I know for certain that adrenal glands can mess with hormones. If most of your doctors can not find anything wrong with you it makes me wonder even more so if that is it because most doctors will not even test for the adrenal gland because it isnt scientifically studied by western drs or something but there are some that do and there are alot of studies out there. There is a womans clinic here that has a NP that studies all different kinds of stuff. My friend, who I first heard about the adrenal gland from, used to work there and she would have all sorts of female stuff going on, different discharges, blah blah.. her gyn couldnt ever find anything wrong so he just said it may be yeast even though yeast never showed up on the tests. She was complainign about it one day at work and the NP started telling her about the AG. She had to do a couple of weird tests and foudn out that her AG was infact not working as well as it should be so the NP started treating it and she hasnt had anymore female problems, no tiredness, no depression, nothing. She also started getting energy back and said she felt like she was 20 again. We are in our early 30s. After she told me about it I asked my pcp and he said he didnt know why he hadnt thought about it with me before but because of alot of problems I have, he thought we finally found the answer but before I could go to get my labs I ended up in the hospital for a few days because of severe stomach pains from a inflammed intestant but they could nto figure out why. After I got out I decided to go ahead and just get some supplements for my AG. After about a week I started feeling better then I had in years, emotional issues were fading, physical things like tiredness, moodiness, insomnia & my temper seemed to be getting in check. I felt great for two months but I ran out. Girls, I did not even have PMS, cramps or NOTHING!! no bloating!!! I am going to get more once I get paid! Now since i havent taken them, missed a few BP and changed my BP, I have this stuff. The adrenal gland is an amazing little thing & does SO MUCH as for the chemistry in our bodies & our hormones but stress & soem other things can wear it down and even cause it to stop working. I had a bad childhood and have had to fight for everything all of my life now my daughter is Autistic & I have chronic pain in my tailbone & back problems so my life has always been stressful. Im suprised my AG didnt just wither away long ago. I am going to watch what happens once I start the AG supplements again and will let you all know what happens. I think everyone should at least read about it. For the 12 yr old, I am almost sure that yours is because your hormones are going crazy and you are gettig your first period. welcome to the wonderful wacky world of women! Oh, please excuse the spelling and such, I am in a hurry but had to write this! Thanks ladies for puttign my mind at ease, at least for now, I am really hoping it is the AG and the supps make it go away!!! will let you know
