Hey everyone..I am so happy I found this site..I really thought I was the only one with this issue..I am having the same problem as what everyone listed..It is making me depressed and angry...It is extremely embarrassing as well..especially when me and my boyfriend are having sex and those little white paper like clumps get everywhere and are all over his penis.. It ruins the mood completely..and make me not want to ever have sex which in turn puts a damper on me and my boyfriends sex life..this has been going on for the past two years..I have been to the dr numerous amounts of time..and nothing..all my test come up negative..I do not understand why this can not be figured out.. I take acidophiles pills everyday and they seem to do nothing for me! ugh this is so gross/annoying..I just want to be normal...please someone help us!

Is it something to do with sex? ... I turned 17 on the 24th march 2010, my bf and I had intercourse but used a condom... He was rather big so I just thought the pain down there was just i guess a tear [sorry for the graphics.. its gross but im just scared so telling the whole story] but since the intercourse I have had the toilet like clumpy white discharge which can be scooped out.. we did have unprotected sex a few weeks ago but have since had a period.. but still getting the cramps and stuff... im scared about going to my doctor but i dont want to wait it out because like some people have said it has lasted years O_o.... any news or information would be great .. please...

I am having the same symptoms..This really sucks... I too have been diagnosed with endometriosis and have already had the surgery to remove the affected tissue and cysts from my ovaries. This was about a year ago and I am just now getting the white clumpy discharge...I am wondering if this is all due to high estrogen levels and in fact may ultimately end up in endometriosis for most of you... ( I am commenting on a post I read earlier - a lady said "she knows what it is" - referring to endometriosis).

I really really sympathise with all of you. I was plauged for years with proper diagnosed thrush, ever since I went on the injection pill at 16. To cut a very long story short, i then had an IUd fitted in my early twenites. The thursh went away but hello bacterial vaginosis! The threads on an IUD make it easier for bacteria to stick around in your lady bits. Plus, I was having unprotected sex with my boyf (not using condoms) and semen hs a very high pH, thus increasing the usual pH of your vagina from 4.5 to about 7. To cut another very long story short, I had my IUD removed for that very reason and we started using condoms which is when my problems started.

I was tested for everything under the sun - everything clear, no STD;s, thrush, BV or anything. I had a heavy white clumpy discharge, sore lady bits, painful sex, swollen.. it was horredous. So depsite all my swabs coming back clear I was then treated with numerous antibiotcs and thrush treatments. Nothing worked. I even tried homeopathy and acupuncture.. zilch results. I was even tested for different strains of thrush, put on diets, tested for latex allergies. I was so unhappy and fed up. i even broke up with my boyfriend because the lack of sex and the pressure it put on our relationship was too much.

THEN - I found out about cytolytic vaginosis. Everything about it made sense - the way it mimics the symptoms of thrush esp. So... I read up on it and went to see my GP. Lukcily he believed me and put me on augmentin which is an antibiotic recommended. well all that did was give me thrush, ha! so then i tried sitting in a bath with sea salt which really helped. then i tried sodium bicarbonate in the bath too which helped. I was wary of douching with it as was aware that this would prob push my pH levels back up to about 7 and cause bacterial vaginosis. but it still wasn't completley gone.

then i bought some gelatin capsules and half filled them with the sodium bicarbonate and inserted one over night. i haven't felt better in years. the reason I am posting is because i can truly understand the dispair you feel when noone has the answer to your problems. and all they want to do is pump you full of antibiotics or diflucan or canestan.

I think my problem started because i have suffered so damn much for the past 12 years with thrush and thrush caused by antibiotics, leading to years of thrush treatments thus causing an overgrowth of the good bacteria, and complete immunity to thrush treatments.

it is worth a chat with your GP, or do what I did and treat yourself but please be careful, like I said.. you could get bacterial vaginosis from the sodium bicarbonate (fishy smell, yellow discharge, which is vile)

good luck xxxx

sodium bicarbonate is baking soda....you can also try mixing it with a little bit of water to make a thick past and forming a small ball then inserting it with your finger.

ok so the same deal with me. Im 17, have had sex a few times this year but only in the past 2 months or so has it started happening... no discomfort at all, just the "toilet paper" like discharge... my mums a nurse so i was thinking of asking her but she doesn't know im not a virgin... although as its been posted that it can happen w/o sex i may still do that-hate lying to her but. My doctor is also a guy which makes me reluctant to go and see him and after hearing how most ppl have said that the doctors dont do anything about it im not too keen. Had sex with the guy im seeing the other day and it was all over the condom and his hands... he didnt say anything but its still embarassing...

Ive looked up some of the stuff people have suggested it is but most of them say that itchiness and swelling are also symptoms... im sick of it and its only been like 2 months argh, would it just go away already!?

I have been doing a lot of research on our problem; I have been suffering from this for several years not knowing what caused it until now!!!! (I HOPE)
About 6 month before my discharge started changing I changed from regular soda to diet! The sweeteners they use in diet pop is very acidic, NutraSweet, Equal, Aspartame, Sweet 'N Low, which lowers your bodies PH which in turn allows excessive growth of yeast and fungi. I am going to stop using these products in my diet and see if this is the cause!

Also I have used the baking soda, but it is only a temporary fix. It does get rid of the toilet paper discharge, but 2 weeks later it is back. I am wanting a more permanent solution to our problem.

If anyone else has any ideas or have found a solution to our problem please post!!

ok i posted on this site previously as i was experiencing exactly what everyone else was describing.
After a normal period i was hoping it would go away but it came back-so i went to see my doctor-diagnosis-thrush.

So even though heaps of ppl have been posting that they were cleared for yeast infections and even if you arent feeling any itchiness or redness etc (cos im not) still get it checked because its very possible thats what it is AND it can be treated by a tablet you only have to take once which i literally just popped :-)

To the girl who just posted saying she'd just had sex, and had used protection and was creeped-thats pretty much same as me. have not had sex many times and noticed it for the first time during sex with my bf-so dont stress or think you have an sti or anything, if you were careful you are probs ok and just get tested for thrush (yeast infection) which is rly easy to get apparently.

Hope this eases some ppls minds cos i was getting pretty freaked and just wanted it to go away-ill repost after a day or two to let ppl know how well the symptoms go away :-)

Hi everyone! I also get this from time to time. This time, i had sex with a new partner and bam...there it is again. Every time, I have used Tea Tree Oil to cure it and within 24 hours it is always gone. Here's what i do...i 'scoop' as much out as i can, if there isn't too much of it, i just put 4-5 drops of pure tea tree oil on a tampon and leave it in there over night. the next morning like magic, all traces of toilet paper stuff is gone!

but, if there is a lot of discharge (toilet paper clumpy's) , i will first use a homemade douche of 1 tbsp. of apple cider vinegar, 1 cup of distilled warm water and a probiotic pill shake until thoroughly mixed and then clean out the affected area with that first. After the homemade douce, i use the 4-5 drops of tea tree oil on a tampon and leave in over night...also, if for some reason there is any accompanied itching or swollenness, instead of going right to the tea tree tampon method, first i dip a tampon in a natural yogurt (with active live bacteria) and leave that over night...when i wake up...i remove the yogurt tampon and then i instert a fresh tampon with the tea tree oil on it and leave for a few hours....the tea tree tampon method ALWAYS works for me.

keep in mind, for me, there is NO smell, No pain or fever...i get a bloaty feeling, with toilet paper stuff that comes out.
the microbiologists post was really informative...i know that tea tree oil is a natural antiseptic and within a few hours you feel fresh and 'clean ' again...i don't know hope this helps there is nothing scarier than seeing that stuff and thinking oh my god, what do i have and how did i catch that when i have been celebate for years????
thanks for this forum it really is nice to know i am not the only one suffering from the toilet paper clumpys...it is embarrassing and gross but if you use the tea tree oil...it is really a managable thing i only get this happening once or twice a year now (if a change partners or become dry during sex (while using a condom), or over washing the area can be a problem also.

hope this method helps you guys, a bottle of tea tree oil is like $10 and will last for years and no need for all those icky meds that don't work and screw with your natural flora in the vaginal walls, if this method works for you let me know...
