I have smegma. The only thing to do about it is wash with warm water, the head of the penis and the foreskin everyday to keep the bacteria for accumulating. Wash especially after sex and sweating. I fid that its best to be sure to wash before bed, and I am usually good the rest of the day.
hi wot is the cream called u can buy over the counter if water dont work and do i have to see a doctor cos i really dont want to see if possible
Ok heres a simple solution if your having this problem, this is what I do. unfortunately this is ony helpful if you can retract your foreskin all the way back to expose the clumps of smegma.
1. get a small cup
2. get a Q-tip, some tissue paper or toilet paper
3. have a tap running with luke warm water
with one hand peel back the foreskin and then with other fill the cup and pour it on the infected area, some of the stuff may fall off right away, next use the tissue paper, q-tip ect. to rub/push the other pieces of it off, do this very slowly and gradually, afer each time pour some more water over it. repeat until your satisfied then dry the area with a towel or toilet paper. repeat until its all gone.
then just do it regularly using soap as well to keep the area clean.
hope that helps.

nothing more than an accumulation of secretions which are easily washed away with a mild soap and warm water in the shower every morning. Nothing to worry about and easy to keep under control through simple hygiene. So shower daily and retract yoru foreskin for cleaning.
I'm a 23 year old male...and it was only an year ago i found the accumulation of smegma under the foreskin and beneath the head of my penis...
Is there any treatment i can undergo without the circumcision?..
I'm quite worried about getting rid of this cheesy stuff..and feels like its spreading around too!..

i daily clean underneath my foreskin bt some of the white stuff sort of got under and into my foreskin it is visible but i am unable to get it out what should i do
ok listen up, this is smegma and what it is, is a fungus like someone said before that appears during a lack of hygiene, i asked my friend if he had it and yes he did and so did his girlfriend, one of them got a fungus and it transferred, anyway there is a way to clean it and i did and it helped alot next day there was just a little smegma left so just keep washing it now here is the method. Warm warted and mix it with baking soda,,yes baking soda and warm water , it will not irritate because it is a basic substance of more than 7ph level, so don't worry make the mix and put your stuff in 5 to ten minutes a day is good, keep doing unil it finally dissappears also wash your hands before going to the bathroom,Note: try to avoid masturbation because it can cause more itching,, another thing is that yes women have this too. it is just a regular fungus (infection) and it can away, if you have scars afterward then i suggest you see a doctor because they can escalate to phimosis, and you will need a circumcision afterwords. but don't worry alot just baking soda and warm water , it helped me.
i havnt read to the end yet but i clean under my foreskin by peeling it back in the bath and shaking it till all the smegma is off, i thenquickly get out the bath because it float around the bath water lol
well, i peeled my foreskin tonight during my shower, and tried to clean it with a bit of soap. i tried to peel the smegma off by hand carefully, and i was wondering if there are any products that i could purchase, or any kind of cleaning tips to help with this problem.
I also have something similar to these other cases. Not sure if it is Smegma. it literally looks like dry calcium that is flat.... it can be removed quite easily from my penis and it collects at the bottom of the head.
im just trying to confirm if it is smegma or not... its not runny or anything, its solid but obviously is malleable with my fingers. it is still soft.

Hello! I think I have a similar problem as well. I'll start by mentioning that at about the age of 6-7 I remember having very discomfortable itches on my penis and when a doctor peeled of my foreskin to examine (apparently I wasnt able to even do so myself anymore), the whole head was white. A few weeks later I had surgery and after that the white was gone, I could peel of the foreskin, although it hurt very much, it was red, and it had to be washed thourougly with KHMnO4 (calium-permanganate in english I think) every day.
Now at the age of 16 I can peel off my foreskin to a certain point, then it seems like the rest of it is glued very tightly on the head and if I pull it with more force, I can confirm that theres a white layer of something under the foreskin and on the head (ie. "the glue). Once I even decided to ignore the possible pain and just peel the foreskin off with brute force, but the white substance is such a strong "glue" that it was no use at all.
Now I've been using the KHMnO4 dilution for about 3 months every time I shower (which I do atleast once a day) hoping it would dissolve the white stuff or something (as far as I know KHMnO4 is a very strong oxydator (not sure if I got the term right again)). It wont help, though. I'm reluctant to talk to my parents about such things, but I'ld like to know if there are any ways at all to treat this by myself before going to a doctor.
