This seems pretty obvious but it isn’t. Your scalp is the thing holding your hair to your head, keeping it fresh and healthy. But it’s also possibly the most under-thought about part of hair care around. Unless you get a flaky scalp, you can sometimes forget that you still need to care for it, like you would your skin. The scalp is a very sensitive, very easily-aggravated area of the head, and if it’s not healthy, it can affect your hair too. Having a flaky scalp will change your hair and the health of it. Use the correct shampoo and conditioner for your head.
Eat More Protein
Eating a balanced diet is a standard routine, or at least it should be. But it’s not just your weight and your physical health that it will help, but it will grow your hair, too. Protein, like many other food types, is one of the building blocks of life. Protein is used in your body to create amino acids, which are also used for the creation of new hair. If you have unhealthy hair growing, the best way to produce healthy hair is to take in plenty of protein, cut your hair regularly and take good care of your diet.

Be Careful Styling
So, we all love to style our hair but you need to be careful. Keeping your hair healthy means being careful around heat and chemicals. The more you use straighteners, curlers, dryers and more, the harsher your hair will react. This is the same for coloring your hair. Coloring your hair can make you feel and look pretty damn cool, but as for how it reacts, well, the results vary. Coloring your hair a few times isn’t bad. But the harsher color you go for (bleaching is a no-no for regular use), the worst your hair will react in the long run. Styling is helpful for looks and for confidence, but just remember the effects if can have on healthy hair.
Shampoo A Little Less
Bare with me on this one, but shampooing less is actually really helpful to your hairs condition. You need oils in your hair to help it against all sorts of harsh treatments. And if you wash your hair properly each and every day, your hair will get used to it, dry out and these natural greases (I know nobody likes greasy hair but bare with me) will protect you for longer. It makes sense. If you think that your hair needs to be washed every day, then consider investing in a good dry shampoo.
Taking care of your hair really does require time and effort. It’s cool if you’re into styling and washing, but being aware of the harm it can do is much better than being blissfully ignorant. The idea of getting a balanced protein intake should improve other aspects of your life, but also the growth of hair. If you take a combination of these things into consideration, you’ll definitely see an improvement in how your hair looks, feels and wears.
