Actually, it is normal to have moderate bleeding up to 8 weeks after a medical abortion (the pill) and can take multiple months for your natural cycle to get back on track. If she had a perforated bowel she would definitely know, as that will quickly kill you if not treated. The bleeding is normal, I'm going on 4 months after abortion and still have moderate bleeding but have been seen and everything is OK. Everyone's body is different, give it time :)
