The antiperspirant-deoderant alone did not get rid of the rash for me. Been there, tried that. I did however apply it over top of the Miconozole cream wherever I usually sweat. I was pleased it did not stop the effectiveness of the Miconozole.
FYI - I also fluff a layer of feminine powder under my breasts after applying the deoderant.
Back to being happy,

I am 46, in peri-menopause, and this just started in the last couple of months along with an increase in hot flashes and night sweats. Odor, burning, red, irritated rash under my right breast. After reading the comments I have coe away with a few suggestions I am going to try, just wondered if anyone had any new informatio to offer?

Debbie, Just keep trying on each particular suggestions. Unfortunately as we are all individuals, and our bodies react differently with any treatment - some would respond well while others would not. You will eventually find the right one for your chemical body make-up. All the best

Hi, I get this rash as well. I am looking into getting cotton bras. I get the rash also under my arms. I use baking soda under the arms, but found that going braless and using rubbing alcohol and peroxide has worked well and after the treatment of rubbing alcohol I put a very small amount of olive oil on it and that healed it rapidly. It only happens when I sweat a lot.

Antiperspirant also contains aluminum and blocks the pores. It may help, but as a long term solution it would be very bad for the body.

Obviously, if it clears the rash up within hours, its a short term solution. I get these a couple times per year and have cured it this way for 20+ years with no side effects.

Get an anti fungal powder, the same type as you would for athletes foot. It really works

I have found that gold bond foot powder works best because it takes away the moisture quickly and helps even more if you wear it directly under your bra daily. It turns into to dry skin and peels away almost like if I had a sunburn. I really get this rash if I wear under wire bras. I hope this helps because it can become very painful and ripe red making it unbearable to wear a bra. Good luck from Angie

This rash under the breast problem is simple to solve. It is caused by bacteria feeding on the dried perspiration and dead skin cells. I have cured mine, my mothers and my best friends rash with this method. You need to rub the area daily, while in the shower is perfect, with a very well soaped BODY SPONGE. These sponges come in packs of 2 (in Australia), I have found 2 brands Envee and Boe Beauty (available in Big W and K-Mart). To start with use a very light action, but as the rash disappears rub more vigorously. I use Dove Soap but others may work just as well. Just keep removing the dead skin. After use rinse the sponge thouroughly and throw them out after about a month and use a new one.

Hi, I just went to a dermatologist for the same reason. The biopsy came back as fungus. Its a pain but only use dove-sensitive skin in any irritated areas. Make sure you are completely dry before dressing. Also, clean under your breasts a few times a day. I apply a powder the Dr. prescribed...its stronger than gold bond or any others..called Nystop (nystatin topical powder). So far this is working. I am doing more research and I have read that I may have to change what I eat-NO yeast products. That is going to be a challenge. I have suffered from this for many years. I am really considering a breast reduction. I wish you the best!

I too have had to deal with this rash. It is something that is happening on the inside of the skin rather than on the surface of the skin. And what helps heal and fade the rash for me is to drink raw buttermilk. Not store buttermilk, but real home made raw buttermilk. Drink it every day until the rash is gone, and drink buttermilk at least two to three times a week to prevent a return of the rash. It's the live cultures that attack the fungus in the skin. You can try yogurt with live cultures,, not just cultured but it must say live cultures. i was told that it would also work as well. But i milk cows daily and make my own buttermilk so its convenient for me that way. I pray for all of our healing with this problem God bless you.

thanks everyone I myself have been trying to find something to get rid of the rashes and hopefully the gel will work. I was told that they were from athletes foot, but reading I'm finding out differently.

Hi,
I get that darn rash under the breasts and sometimes in the groin area from sweating. I do not use any kind of powder or cornstarch because it breeds bacteria when it gets damp. What I do use is over-the-counter antibacterial ointment like neosporium. My rash is practically gone the next day and so is the soreness. Hope this helps.
