I suffered from this problem until I discovered the cure about 10 years ago. Use Dove soap and a body sponge on all sweaty affected areas, daily for the rest of your life. Just soap up the sponge and rub gently, it takes a couple of weeks for the rash to go away. It will never come back if you continue to do this daily. Rinse the sponge clean and allow to dry after every use and throw them out after about a month. I am overweight and large breasted and swear by this method, I have not had the rash for over 10 years.

Oh my gosh...my remedy works WONDERS and SO inexpensive! Witch Hazel! You can even use the store brand because its VERY inexpensive. It will help heal but CERTAINLY relieves the burning....itching painful part! It will sting only for a couple of seconds and then ALL you will feel is AHHH!! You still have to try to keep the area dry..padding is the best way but don't let the padding get moist and stay there. Also....powders allowed to stay there and get moist...are HARBORERs for the fungal infections that the sweat will cause! Trust me....you ladies will be HAPPY CAMPERS if you try this!!!

Pls reply and let me know how it works!

Thanks!

OK, girls.... just got back from the derm doc.  Whipped up my shirt/bra and showed him my rash. He asked if I had done any self diagnosis. You becha I proudly announced. Jock itch. He smiled and said close. Yeast infection. The script is expensive $185 w/o insurance. He said I could use same OTC for vaginal yeast infection 2x/d. There are also baby ointments available that will clear up yeast problems. I'm going to give OTC a chance for a couple of days before I give up $185. Good luck and stay dry. :-)

Had a biopsy of the rash. Dermatologist said it was granular parakeratosis. Apparently it is rarely reported, but may be a common condition. I stopped using all anti itch creams, and anti yeast creams, switched to a perfume free detergent, did not wear a bra for a month and washed under breasts with an antiseptic wash daily. The symptoms disappeared after a month. I get flare ups if I eat a lot of sugar.

Several things can help but it will always come back and helping it is slow as well.  My husband is a pharmacist.  When it first started I used diaper rash cream (it has the zinc in it the lady earlier was talking about).  Well that quit working after I hit menopause and we had to switch to a prescription cream that is nystatin/triamcinolone cream mixture and now finally I am on a 3rd medicine that is a pharmacist compounded medicine called miracle cream.  I put my cream on anytime I need it and I put a very tight fitting bra/camisole made of cotton on so that it doesn't allow my breasts to move around, less rub, less irritation.  It's still not perfect but it is the best solution we've found.  My husband's uncle is a dermotologist and he said we're really doing all we can do.  I also have allergies and lots of things break me out.  STAY AWAY from powders during the heat of the day, they will cause more irritation.  I do use them after bathing at night to keep me dry all night long.  Hope this helps someone out there!
