I've had this very same problem. What truly works is monistat (for yeast infections) or the generic brand will also do. However, if you're into home remedies try using plain organic non-pasturized yogurt. It works great and does the same thing monistat does for much less money. Yogurt has the good bacteria in it which kills yeast.

Hope this helps.

I had one right smack dab in my cleavage, red bumpy and itchy!  I took a vitamin E capsule, punctured it and smeared it on the affected area.  It literally disappeared before my eyes!!  Not hours, minutes!  it was about 70 % gone after 5 minutes, and fully gone by morning!!

I might get it again but at least I know how to get RID of it now!

Hi ladies!

Glad this is here, I don't feel like such a dork! I agree witht the poster above. I think we're focusing on the symptoms and not the cause. I too have big ol' breasts, I'm morbidly obese (BMI is off the chart), I eat a lot of sugar and processed foods, I have a lot of stress in my life, I don't get enough sleep, and I was just diagnosed as pre-diabetic. Whew! Yes I do want to get rid of this rash, but I'm going to focus on eating healthy, removing a lot of sugar and yeast out of my diet, losing weight, exercising, and just taking care of myself. I'll check back in about 6 months to let y'all know how I'm doing

It is a yeast infection. I am in the medical field. Ask for nystatin powder. I keep it around and use it. Especially in the summer. Vagisel powder/cream works too. I just Nystatin Powder because I have insurance and get 4 bottles for one copay.

Any brown patchy spots especially between the breasts is yeast, a doctor will prescribe a cream. For the rashes, it can be candidas(a different type of yeast) or bacteria from heated pools or spas or simple heat rash. It could also be a diabetic issue. Regardless, see your MD or NP to be sure. Peace of mind and a certain solution. As an RN, I highly advise against guessing.

Perspiration and a rash seem to haunt my size 42D.  Out of desperation one day I swiped my deodorant under each breast and bingo! problem solved. I've been using it ever since. I have no idea if all deodorants will work but mine (Ladies Choice) does so I no longer have a rash and I'm much more comfortable without that wet feeling.  And there's nothing special to buy, no powder on my clothes and no pain in taking care of the problem.

Anti chaffing gel helps a lot. When clean & dry, rub some under your breasts before you put on bra. Bra material is important! I find synthetic material makes it happen more quickly. You may have the gel already, because a lot of Make up companies are selling it as "primer" for before you put your foundation on. I'd gotten this primer from Mary Kay & Sheer Cover before I realized it was basically just nice smelling anti chaffing cream! I wouldn't use the expensive stuff for this all the time, but if you already have it you can try it and see if it lessens the chaffing rash. If it does- book it to Walgreens for a bigger tube. If not, well, it's worth a try. I know I get the rash & it's very painful!!

Ok, I'm truly more confused now then before! It seems that different people have different things on here! Mine comes on real fast like within a hour and leaves in a few hours! The rash stings and is real red sometimes raised. It is about 6" wide and about 3" long give or take depending if as soon as I feel it coming on I spray it with any kind of pain reliving spray and put something like a brandade or something to keep it dry and then it starts going down and starts to fade! But if I'm out and about and can't take care of it then it just gets worst and worst till I'm dying! Some times on the right only sometimes on the left only and sometimes on both sides! It's under my breast more like where the breast sit! I have 40DD so I'm not sure what it is! This has only been going on for about a year now and I'm starting to worry! At first I thought it might be just a rash! But it keeps coming back! :-/ I'm not sure any more!

Don't give up Hope.  It  is a fungus and it can occur in areas that are dark and moist.  Also, it can come below stomach if it overlaps and along panty lines.  What a nuisance.  I agree it is hard to get rid of.  After meeting with my doctor, I was told that I could use any of the creams or sprays that you would use for "jock itch".  Personally, they just coat it.  The best thing that worked for me was Coconut Oil.  I saw something on Youtube and it works miracles.  The all natural unrefined works best.  It gets rid of the rash, redness, and cuts that sometimes comes because the area is so tender.  I used that at night.  In the daytime, I used a powder from my doctor that helped me remain dry until it cleared up. (Nystop/Nystantin Powder). Hope this helps...

Hi, I have suffered a rash under my breasts for a couple of years, I have tried many things and even the doctors cream only reduced the inflamation but never cleared it.  I even wore a sterile bandage under my breasts for about a year and kept things very dry with talc but it only served to help some.  About a week ago I purchased a cheap packet of 'dermatologically tested Anti-bacterial ultra soft wipes' (49p for 25) from Home Bargains and I now clean the area about 8 times a day with a new piece (torn from one of the wipes) and then I use tissue to completely dry the area, I am really pleased to say that even in this short time my rash is showing real signs of disappearing - at long last!  I am overweight, and I never wear a bra.  I still use a little talc after this treatment but not always.  I hope this will help others who suffer this exasperating condition.

a few helpful tips that are very handy for large breasted women;
check your blood sugars(glucose).normal is 100 to 120.high levels can cause an infection.
make sure you wear a proper fitting bra.a poor fitting bra can cause excess rubbing & chafing.if properly fitted and still have some rubbing;anti-friction/anti chaffing sticks are available for about $10.there used by a variety of athletes.
don't use cornstarch;it breeds the infection.instead use talc powder or baking soda.
wear cotton bras when possible.cotton fabric allows better air circulation as opposed to other materials.
with these tips we'll make it through another summer. D.
