Hi
It might be worth trying a natural remedy that people take to reduce cholesterol level....it is called Lecithin :-D. It works very well and if you take it too often it can do the reverse!
My symptoms after three years:
Weight gain around the upper middle part of my body
Going to the loo all the time sometimes 4 or 5 times a day
Diarrhea if I eat anything too spicy or processed.
Slight bloating and pain in the area where the Gallbladder used to be
I have also developed joint aches which is rather rare in our family (I am 45)
Sometimes bile/reflux at night
If I could turn back the clock I would have not eaten the rubbish that I did and maybe my Gallbladder would have been OK....I would rather have one than not but the pain of having gall stones is terrible and when you have them you will do anything to have the Gall Bladder removed.

Its been about 6 years for me that Ive gotten my GallBladder removed....within the time there has been a whole lot going on for me and its so frustrating . I have extremely painful Gas, bowel movements anywhere from 3 to 4 times a day, seriously if I dont go to the restroom immediately it will literally come out on its own, yes embarrassing but Ive had my accidents. Its not so much like diarrhea but sometimes my stool is too soft like shreds and sometimes they look normal. I get this pain, and cramping in my stomach when I gotta go to the restroom. There are some other times , when in the middle of eating I start getting this really really sharp pain like on my rib area right under my breast area, and it is so painful that all I want to do is to lie down,it seems like the more food you put in your mouth the more that it hurts. When I lie down on my left side. The pain is only there for an amount of time but slowly goes away . This sharp pain does not happen all the time when I eat, just every once in a while it does. About that gas problem, seriously I have too much of it and it hurts all the time. I cant sleep next to a significant other cause Im so embarrassed about my gas problems, its like the 4th of July at times. When Im laying in bed especially on my left side, there is a whole lot of gas coming out of me.I feel bloated and swollen all the time. And there is no weight loss for me,even though I have all the different stools coming out of me every day. Im more obese . Is any one else out there understand me???? or is it just me???
Please let me know, Im tired of this already, it interrupts my personal life!
Is there a solution to my problem? I need Help
I'm reading this and I just feel so sad for many of you who have had your gallbladders removed. there is a book called the amazing liver flush by andreas moritz. In the book he outlines this flush and good eating and living habits, what we should avoid and whatnot. He has recently passed away, but don't let this deter you from the vast amount of information he has dedicated his life to finding. I have had the worst skin condition which has caused to look up a way to rid myself of this disease and this is what I stumbled upon. It has helped me in so many ways, I feel so much more clear, my skin is improved, i'm not angry all the time. The gallbladder stores bile, without it your body cannot effectively break down fats. Your liver is forced to produce bile immediately when you eat anything with fat in order to digest it, but unfortunately it is not enough bile. I encourage you to try going without fried foods, without oily products, dairy products, and without meat. It sounds crazy, i know, but try it out to see if it helps your situation.
these are not my symtoms.
I have an uncontrollable diarria, I have been taking an emulsion for many years which did control this but have become very iffy and I am fearful of accidents. It is also expensive and has no generic, it is called Prevalite.
I do have cramping and uncomfortable periods after eating.
I had my gall bladder removed over 30 years ago and the trouble began after.
I am 82 years old , on fixed income, did try a probiatic my Chiropractor sold me which wasn't covered by my health plan but it did work.
I'd like to know if any of you have any natural food suggestions or herbal treatments that have worked .
Thank you,
I'm a 73 yr old male who had a gall bladder removed 5 yrs ago. I had fallen 30 feet off a roof construction onto concrete and broke 16 bones in the thorax area - back [T5, T6], neck [C5], 11 rt ribs, sternum, shoulderblade - and also had many injured & bruised organs as well as brain injuries. After my spinal fusion and rods placement and 45 days in the hospital & rehab I was back in the hospital in 2 weeks to have my GB removed. Apparently they removed it because it was less than 20% functional and I kept losing weight in spite of high fat diets and hi cal diet supplement drinks. There was an always present low-level nausea and total lack of an appetite. Arthroscopic surgery was used; all was well with that.
I was terribly constipated by all the oxycodone I was taking and after getting off that at about 4 months post accident and the GB removal things got better fast. I gained back to my usual 175# (from as low as 132#) and the only lasting effect of the GB removal seems to be the unpredictable bowel syndrome sometimes right after I eat breakfast. Once that happens I'm good for the day (or several days) but I've learned not to ignore its subtle warnings. As a substitute schoolbus driver on 50-60 mile routes or on 150-250 mile athletic trips that problem warrants some concern but eating about an hour before driving seems to leave time for the warnings to appear if there is going to be a problem; usually there is no problem at all.
My diet has always included red meat, chocolate, bread, sweets and lots of ice cream (my food pyramid is built on permafrost!) and I'm back to my old ways but I do eat less beef than when I was younger and more active. I like salads, fruit, orange juice, turkey, ham, bacon, eggs & hotcakes [& did I mention ice cream?]. I also drink large quantities of room temperature water, no soda and little coffee. I worked hard at physical therapy, walked miles & climbed a 660' local hill (mtn?) daily, worked out at the "Y", did water exercises and went back to work driving trucks ASAP to get back as much agility as I could. Thank God the back pain finally went away after about a year; I'll never be strong again or be able to look behind me but I'm in pretty good shape for the shape I'm in! Wishing all you the best in your rehab --
Hi, I think everyone should read this. I am now no longer afraid of strange movements in my abdomen. I've also accepted the fact that I will have to live with a certain amount of pain.

Do please give up red meat and fried foods. I drink Yakult (the probiotic drink) after dinner and it makes me feel good. Homeopathy helped me get rid of IBS or running to the loo after every meal or snack.

Im going to try to follow the above post . I had mine 10 years ago and my life is a total nightmare .I did have IBS before and they thought it was flaring when in reality it was my gall bladder infected and burst . Of course I eat nothing at this point . I am 50 and wear a sz 7 hollister jean . it hurts to eat or drink anything so I dont . profound constipation after some years of diarreah . Now if i am in public and i have a cold drink its instant diarreah . Pain in the classic area upper left back and up to shoulder .NO SODA .Bloat, shortness of breath . I cannot go out to eat because if i do I cant breathe and i bloat . Its a mess.. Its funny you mentioned it but I cant have raw veggies either at all . I pretty much exist on ensure clear or boost breeze ( juice based ) and cup o soup . I cant even drink water to thirst or Ill bloat and get short of breath .
On March 7th 2013 had my gall bladder removed gave me some discomfort and an ultra sound confirmed it was gallstones so it was advised to remove this before it gave me more troubles. I did have hard stools dark in color before and it was hard passing bowel movements and some times had diarrhea too. Its now been a month April 10th, 2013 and I now have looser stools that felt like diarrhea when passing. I go 3-4 times a day and its lighter in color. I started my cycle the day of my surgery to happen go figure, but was told it was ok to go through it. Now I have not started yet a month later. I had symptoms of menopause already so maybe this helped it along. I sneezed and pulled a muscle that hurts by the belly button. My doctor gave me clean bill of health, but told me I may have a small hernia to take it easy. However today the area is still sore and has a redden area around it. Will give a few days.Hope it heals. First and last surgery for me. Hope this helps some. I feel low temp fevers too 99.2 with chills. Before and after surgery off and on.
I too have had the ghost pains and loose stool. It really sucks. I know that after you lose your gallbladder, you should not eat anything with high fats, spicy food, preservatives and anything else that was passed through the gallbladder. I've had mine out for two years now, and it sucks. I haven't lost weight yet. but it really sucks.
Hello,
I had my GB out last December. I never had any trouble until last August and then I had 4 bad episodes pretty close together. I would like to know what the supplement is that you are talking about. If you would please share this information with me I would appreciate it very much.
Thank you,

Fun is f*****g not! lol but not the end of the tunnel either, trust me! It hurts but it gets better but do have it out
My doctor prescribed Prevalite powder. . It cost. It comes in packages. One or two a day. Once mine where more reg. I took one a day.
