Gall Bladder Removl
I had my gb removed two years ago and have steadily put on weight. I don't have sugar or chocolate, I don't like the taste of it since my op. I eat plenty of veg and salads, a good healthy diet, but still am gaining weight. Your diet however, sounds ridiculously unhealthy with little nutritional value. Just my opinion.
i had my gallbladder removed in 2003 and now my mouth is always dry and i'm always going to the bathroom with bowel movements. is there anyway to stop the dry mouth. I feel like my body don't produce saliva anymore since it's been removed o
I had mine out in April and still have pain in my r-side, along with the diarrhea, and my scars are still very sensitive and itchy at times. all things considering I guess what I am left with is better than what I had :/,I can eat w/out pain and belching.
This is the silliest, most self-serving (see the chiropractic promotion) response. You can live perfectly well without a gallbladder. Prior to mine being removed, I had diarrhea daily, cramps and had gained 60 pounds in a year. I couldn't eat anything, and was tested for food allergies - with nothing coming up positive.
After having my gallbladder removed, I now can eat whatever I want with NO diarrhea, I have lost weight and no longer experience any nausea or food issues.
Listen to a real doctor and not a chiroporactor!
I had pain on my right side.
I also have the feeling with acid burning up my insides, it goes up my stomach to my throat too. My stools are green like bile and chemical odor (sorry) I still get nausea and have to eat every 2 hours to keep it down. I take cholestryamine also. At times I have pain in the center of my back like the gallbladder attacks. It seems that every 2 or 3 months I go through this for a couple of weeks and then it gets better. My liver enzymes are elevated during these attacks, and I now have a fatty liver. My surgery was also 7 years ago. I don't work full time anymore. I'm going to start probiotics, activia yogurt and Metamucil fiber wafers. Do you also feel exhausted and weak? I have found that sugar, fats (especially chocolate) trigger the attacks. When I can avoid them altogether I do better. I don't know what other things are triggers, wish I did so I could stop it!! My friend suggested eliminating dairy. So I'm going to try that. Good luck to you
Hi had my gall bladder out in 1999. Have never been over weight take daily dog walks over 2miles . I eat a very low fat diet. But every now and then I do ,too much ( gardening , house work) and am ill for up to a week. Bad pain in my side and almost a bit shaky . All I can do when feeling like this , is lay down sometimes for days . Until energy and pain are bad to normal.
I had gallbladder surgery 2 years ago and I also have that bad metal taste in mouth, I can hardly drink milk and I have tried all kinds, they all make my stomach hurt, also fried foods make my side hurt, foods taste either too salty or sweet, and if am always cold, I thought I was the only one, glad to hear someone else feels like me, thought it was all in my head. Jennifer
I like to poop so I'm having fun.
i have the same…..pain on right side from bowels to back, hard stools, depression and every morning i feel very nauseous. Sometimes it takes a few hours for me to feel right. I'm so disgusted with this…..I would rather have kept my gall bladder and suffered with that occasional pain than this constant pain that I have now. None of the doctors seem to think it its real. They have done this test and that test and everything comes back "normal"…….
Hell yeah...this is exactly my story. ..except I'm34.
menopause will change your body shape it is horrable
My gallbladder was removed 5 weeks ago. The day after that surgery, I had a gallstone removed from the duct of my pancreas. I was very sick at first, and got very depressed, but in 3 1/2 weeks I felt fine. I was very bloated. In fact, when I got home from the hospital, I weighed 31 pounds heavier than when I went in. That's because of all the fluids they were pumping into me during my hospital stay. Now I'm back down to 140. My biggest problem is, my stools smell horrible - not the normal terrible smell - but something worse. Almost metallic. It is hard to describe. I didn't get any instructions regarding my diet after surgery, but after reading these messages, I realize I need to check on this. I really hope I can do something about this.
I was lucky that I was already seeing a functional medicine doctor prior to my GB removal. For those of you who are fighting weight gain and all these other problems, find yourself a good Functional medicine doctor! You will know they are good by reviews online and if they have you do blood and stool panels before anything else. The doctor will see exactly how YOUR body is working, then will begin giving you supplements that will help your body work correctly! I still see my regular doctor when I need to, but I barely ever get sick. My blood panels went haywire after my gallbladder removal. It was crazy, but in the long run after taking supplements that I was no longer absorbing as well and fine tuning some minerals. I've never felt better. Your body wasn't working correctly before your GB surgery, now it's just guessing at how to process food trying to get the nutrients you need. You will be amazed if you give a functional doctor 6 months to a year!
