I have a female pit she is 12 the best dog you could ever have very loving and very protective. My best advice make sure you socialize him/ her. The one that I have belonged to a family member and I would freak when she came near me. Then I lost my son and she came to me with such humbling Love❤ and slept with me for weeks we bonded so well. She belongs to me now. We are so close if she see's me cry she will put her head on my lap. Everyone should have one like her. It's going to kill me when her time comes hope this help....

We have had Capone our Red nose American pit bull for 12 years. He truly is the heart of our family...as others have said he would welcome you in. I have 4 grandchildren the 2 youngest are only 10 months and 2 months Capone loves them. He has had 2 knee replacements has lumps all over his body now and his liver ensigns are high ... could be liver cancer. Today he had a seizure. ..Tomorrow we take him to the vet...we want to be with him tonight to see how he does. My heart is braking because I think it is time to say good bye and let him go be with his buddy....my Dad who we just list in July.
