I feel exactly the same about our nine year old red nose pibble. He's the light of our lives (we don't have children). We love our dog so much, and now that he's nine, we're super sad about losing him, despite the fact the vet said he's healthy and happy. I never want to lose my baby boy, Bentley ❤️

My pit bull is brown and very nice never bites he is 6 years old and he ran away 5 times now but if your pit bull runs away and he loves you I know he will come back but i wouldn't let him run away because he might be taken to the pound He is my best friend he hates water and is crazy when he is let in the house and if you get a pit bull give him some love because pit bulls love it feed him a lot because he is always hungry just don't feed him bread because he throws up that is why I love pit bulls

I have a Blue pit names Sage, Birthday August 12,2004, tomorrow we will have to put he asleep she is out kives, she lived a loved healthy life. She had no hip issues we never allowed her to use her hips for unhealthy things, but she was strong due to everyday exercise from us and on her own , having 2 dogs is a benefit for a pits long life and try to avoid inbred pits. We are currently grieving right to one of the best dogs we ever had. LOVE and Respect your pit and a good long life you will get in return, she was almost 13 yrs old this year.

My blue nose is 14 and I fed him boiled chicken and organic vegetables for the first 8 years after I got him at a year old. He ate so much I didn't have the time to make it anymore so I switched to Earthborn (Salmon Flavor) but also put salmon oil in his food frequently for his skin. If you want your dog around for as long as possible don't buy they cheap food. Diet (and exercise) has everything to do with a long life just the same as us.

It's amazing to see so many people with such positive posts about our beloved pit bulls!! They truly are great dogs/pets/kids. I've had my boy for 13 years. He has heart disease and last cell tumors but is still a happy boy, tail always wagging and kisses to be given. I highly recommend owning a pit bull.

Our female pitbull is turning 12 in December - she is the Love of my life! She gets a lot of ear infections - but she swims UNDER water in our pool all day all summer long- and has quite a few skin allergies ( this may be related to developing Cushing's disease - a condition a kin to diabetes ) late in her life . She also had two knee replacements when she was about two or three years old Pitbull's love to run - SOOO fast and jump , catch frisbees , retrieve balls they are full of energy and want to play all the time, and it's pretty common for them to blow out their knees - like runners and athletes.She may lick someone to death - but has never even come close to biting anyone - or acting aggressively - as far as being a great watch dog ? I have to agree with one of the comments posted , she may lick and kiss you to death , but she has never been aggressive a day in her life. The only time she barks at other dogs is when she is on a leash, our vet told me this is because she fears she can't protect us when she is on a leash - if she is off her leash she wants to play with every dog she meets Pitbulls get a terrible rap ! Unless they are brought up by people who teach them to be mean or vicious they are like any other dog . Bailey wants nothing more than to love and cuddle ( she sleeps with us in bed - and she snores very loudly) She wants to jump and play with everyone she meets including strangers - she is great with children and all dogs especially little puppies , who she is very gentle with with . The only fear she inspires is when someone recognizes that she is a Pitbull , and expects her to be vicious. I can't say enough wonderful things about Pitbulls - I hope my baby lives 4-ever

My pitbull is the same about he would open the door if he could and invite you in (that is as long as we are okay with it. He is also a licker. He gets up every morning and gives us and the other dogs kisses. He has proven to be a great protector when I've needed him to be.

We have a beautiful pit that is 17. Yes he is looking old, but at times he is still like a puppy. We also have a 7 year old Pit that is an incredible watch dog. Nobody could get into our house! They are wonderful with our daughter also! We just love them!!
