Benefits and risks of dry food for dogs

Hello. Every coin has two sides. Dry food has it as well. Let’s talk about benefits first. One of the biggest benefit for all dog owners is because it can be left out for hours and not be spoiled. Also, dry foods are much easier to store. They usually come in the large plastic bags and it is easy to storage them. This way food is always fresh and safe. Dry food is known as a great dental health supplement. It doesn’t cause any stomach problems, it cleans your dog’s teeth and it is perfectly safe. I am not that familiar with risks but certain people will tell you that your dog can get salmonella from it. I am not sure about that.

There are so many benefits and the risks in the same time.

But I think that dry food for dogs is really good food, of course if you choose good product. The good dry food is balanced in nutrients, has low filler elements and it is high in proteins.

It is true that this food is a little bit expensive but I believe that it is worth of buying.

And like Dog Whisperer told you it is good for your dog’s oral and dental health :)

If you are giving too much dry food to your dog it can cause hard stool.

In my opinion I would skip dry food because it has so many ugly sides. For example, whenever I was giving dry food to my dogs they had so much stomach problems. One of my dogs, Mell, had abdominal pain while she was eating dry food. I don’t know, but I can’t talk about benefits since I didn’t have nice experience with it. Maybe it was because I didn’t choose the right brand, but whatever, I am against dry food.
