I am eight weeks today. I have been spotting for about ten days. Two seperate days which were very heavy with alot of clotting. I have an an US (After the two days of heavy bleeding) and the baby is doing great. They saw and heard the heartbeat and it's right where it is supposed to be. My doctor says that right now all signs point to a happy and healthy pregnancy (but obviously he can't promise that...) he also said that 25% of women have this sort of bleeding in pregnancy and all it really does is scare the hell out of people.. so although I have a long way to go, everything looks good right now... maybe it will be the same for you!! Prayers can be answered!

I found out I was pregnant because I was bleeding. I started out with my normal period and then have been spotting for 3 weeks since. So a total of about 4 weeks of bleeding. It was a week ago that I found out I was pregnant hcg level was only at 96 on Sunday but doc wants to wait til Monday to see if a regular test comes out positive. I've had some cramping some due to constipation and gas. They did an ultrasound but it was too early to tell anything, I was too early for the sac to even show. Hopefully everything will turn out ok, keeping my fingers crossed. This is my first pregnancy and I am exstatic about it. I just wanted to say thanks to all of the information everyone is putting on these forums because they are helping me to not to worry so much about the bleeding. XD

I am have the same pains. I am about 5 weeks and yesterday I had cramping with slight bleeding, it did seem to get heavier with blood clots. I went to the doctors and she sent me to have an ultra sound. But I think it was to early to see anything. I haven't got the results from the doctors yet... but i'm still cramping, with blood clots... I pray that everything is ok.. and like some people said, its up to God now.

thanks.

Wow all of this is amazing to me! I am almost 7weeks and started bleeding and cramping 4 days ago only passing several very small clots! I was convinced i have misscarried! I went to the doctor yesterday who stated the same that i have definatley misscarried however my cervix is still TIGHTY CLOSED! i asked him if this is possible if i am misscarring and he stated yes that the baby may not have been big enough at this early starge to diate the cervix at all! My hgc levels were drawn yesterday as well and showed a dramatic decline in the levels. I am going in for an ultrasound in the morning. ( I was assuming to make sure that everything has passed to ensure that a d&c isnot nessacary) But after reading all of this IS IT POSSIBLE THAT I HAVE NOT MISSCARRIED?? i HAVENT EVEN HAD ANY REAL CLOTS PASS AND AGAIN I AM 7.5 ALONG ?? ANY ONE KNOW??

Im in the same boat as you all.. i took two pregnancy tests two weeks ago because i was a few days late and they both were positive. About a week after hearing the good news, i began spotting dark brown blood very lightly for 4 days. Then suddenly the brown became bright red and a little heavier with mild occasional cramps. Its now been ten days and im still bleeding. hopefully the doctor will let me know what is going on with my body!

Hi all i have just been reading all the topics on bleeding through early pregnancy.I took 5 home pregnancy tests(which was done 5 days before my due period)all positive,so that made me about 4 weeks pregnant.Thursday morning i went to the toilet as usual wanting to pee,i wiped myself only to find pink mucous,i panicked and rang the doctors surgery the nurse said it was normal. After tea that same day i wiped myself only to find fresh red blood and all of a sudden my boobs were not sore any more it was though all my pregnancy symptoms had dissapeared,i rang the doctors surgery the nurse said it was not normal and booked me in Friday.I seen a female doctor showed her my home pregnancy tests she did a pregnancy test that was negative(later it came up positive)she told me i could have lost the baby i had no pain just bleeding, she said there was no point doing an ultra sound because there would be nothing there.I had blood tests done to see if i was pregnant i should find out the results tomorrow(Monday)if have stopped bleeding it was like a period but without pain....I am confused i have read heaps of concerned people that have been bleeding and still their babies are fine i am hoping and praying mine is fine.

I have a 20 month old baby and am currently 5 weeks pregnant. I experienced what you are going through with my first child assuming I miscarried as well......I recently started bleeding and clotting again but my cervix is closed and blood work looks great. I had my first child and was told it was just the way my body was getting ready to house our baby. stay positive, I still think I am pregnant and am looking forward to delivering in 8 months

I am bout 10 weeks along. Since the begining of 9 weeks though I have been spotting. Last night though there were 2 clots. one the size of lentil.... pretty small, and the other about an inch long but less than a 1/4 inch wide. So I know this was not my baby. Im still spotting as of this morning too.

I went to the Dr Ob when this first started and after the exam and US he said everything was normal. I saw the baby moving and heard a strong heart beat.

Yet now with the clotting Im starting to freak out again. This is my first pregnancy and the thought of losing it scares me half to death. I have to wait 4 more days before my appt, but that seems like an eternity away :'(

I am 9 weeks pregnant and have been having the same symptoms. I found out i was pregnant when i was probably 6 weeks pregnant and about 2 days later i was having light brown discharge and then dark brown discharge. I had the same thing my first pregnancy and turned out i miscarried. This time, after about a week of the discharge I started bleeding as if it was my 3rd or 4th day of my cycle. after a week the bleeding stopped, i was having light brown discharge but it started fading. about 2 days later i started bleeding again and started passing some clots and early this morning, I had the worste pain in my abdomin and it felt like i was miscarrying but nothing passed through. I had the pain for 3 hours and I havent felt anything since. If i have any blood passing through its when I use the bathroom. And I dont have to use a thick pad. Everytime I had bleeding I always only had to use an ultra thin pad. I havent seen a doctor yet but i will here soon. I'm young and i was recently taken off of my dads insurance when i turned 19. I am a good person and responsible so I hope nobody thinks of me like I dont deserve to have a child at this age. I do hope everything is okay. reading everybodies experiences kind of helps me because my baby might be okay. Best of luck to everybody..

I'm experienceing periodic bright red bleeding and dark red with large clots. I appears to be improving slightly, but it is scary. My HCG tests have all been good so far, I am early in pregnancy. I have my first ultrasound Dec 3rd. I"m trying to stay positive, but this is my first pregnancy, and no one in my family has had these issues. I have PCOS and used clomid for one cycle, and it worked. I was so happy to find out it worked after 8 years of trying. But every time I get these painful cramps and bleeding and clotting it freaks me out. The dr is really positive because of my test results, but I wish I knew why this was happening.

At 7 weeks I started spotting dark brown blood which I ignored the first time I noticed. The following day the blood became heavier and red, in addition to abdominal cramps like the ones you experience when having periods. This worsened to big clots and more blood which would occur when am in the toilet. The third day I went to see my gyna and I had an ultra sound. Nothing in the womb was detected, meaning I had a natural abortion. I was sent to the theatre to be cleaned off the residue that was left in the uterus. Spotting during early stages is not a good sign. They say 30% of pregnant women do spot and half of them miscarry, while the other half continue to have a full pregnancy. You just might be in either category, but should you miscarry, it's not the end of trying for another baby. Be encouraged, its a natural way of getting rid of a not so well formed embryo.

I am currently about 4-5 weeks pregnant & I started spotting on Sunday afternoon (It is now Tuesday morning). I went to the hospital, they checked blood levels, then I went back on Monday & had an ultrasound. I started bleeding heavier & cramping late Sunday night (with clotting). In the ultrasound, it did show a gestational sac (just barely visible) & they did detect a flicker of a heartbeat. They doctor also told me my hCG level was 2,000 & I go & get another hCG test today to check my levels. I am terrified as my husband & I have had a miscarriage before & have been trying for a long time to conceive again. He was just home on leave from deployment overseas over Christmas & we got pregnant. I found out 2 weeks ago...we were so excited...now we are so afraid to lose this lil one too. I feel so lost & sick with worry, even though I am trying very hard not to worry. It is hard going through this with the other half deployed =(

Unsure if this helps you all, but after I missed my period I went to the doctor, who said that according to what I had told him (when last I had my period etc etc) I was about 5 weeks pregnant... He then did an Internal check to see f he could detect anything. He then said that the internal was not 5 weeks, and he could do an external, that I was 13 and a half weeks pregnant!!! The shock!!! I had had two normal periods (maybe a BIT lighter than normal, at the same time as it would have happened), but all was looking great. I know have a gorgeous son! Now I am researching this exact topic as we are trying for baby #2, and would like to be prepared, unsure if the same thing will happen. Anyway, hope this helps some...

I had some brown spotting for a few days with very mild cramping, lighter than menstrual cramps. I had 2 positive pregnancy tests on Friday and Saturday. I took another test this morning, Tuesday, and it was negative. I called the doctor and they said I could be having a chemical pregnancy. I had my HCG levels tested and they were at 1500. The brown turned into red, then into dark brown clotting (a little) and pink. I am not sure what to think but they said if it is a chemical pregnancy I should just have a normal period and this is probably what I am experiencing. I go back on Thursday to confirm if my HCG levels are dropping. If this is the case and I don't have severe cramping but have a normal period that is most likely what happened.

My Mom said she had what was a pretty normal period for the first three months when she was pregnant with me.

I am about 8 weeks pregnant now and have had some light spotting( pink to red in color, not enough for a pad or pantyliner, only when i pee)and one really tiny clot smaller than a dime yesterday.

My last pregnancy ended in a miscarriage when I was about 4 months pregnant, so I'm prettty worried. All you can do is pray and take it easy tho. Good luck!
