Yeah, I have my cheek pierced, [I had both of them but the right one was messed up due to it being pierced through a vein] and I accidentally tugged it a bit with my messenger bad strap last night while I was at a friends dorm, it started hurting around the piercing area, just when I touched it.. so when I got back to my friends house, where I am staying, I took the piercing out and looked to see what it was. Her mum said it was a blood blister, and I proceeded to pop it.
I sprayed a little alcohol on it, and now it is a little swollen and seems irritated, but not really infected, yet I hope
Did I do right, or should I keep clening it just in case of infection?
please get back to me soon =[ I really do not want to loose my other side ='[

Its probably from biting your lip or injuring it with hard food. The more you mess with it, the worse it will get. If it doesnt clear up in a week WITHOUT you playing with it, go see your doc to rule out a more serious issue.
So weird!!! I just got done eating Wasabi Green Peas and noticed this bump on the inside of my cheek... first time. I noticed somebody said its stress related, well i been really stressed for a week so maybe that is how I got it. what a weird thing. I wont pop it, but daym its irking my nerves.
I discovered a "blood blister" on the inside of my cheek behind my molars. It was not painful but very annoying. When I brushed my teeth this evening I brushed the blister and bright red blood appeared on my tooth brush. I do not know when it started and I do not remember eating anything that poked my cheek. I plan on checking it in the morning and if it fills up again I am going to ask my doctor to look at it, I have an appointment in the morning for something else. It's very weird though because I have never had anything like this before.
Interesting, I have the same thing on the inside of my cheek by my molars. I was somewhat worried about it because it is very very dark. It is small, pimple sized. A blood blister must be what it is. It doesn't hurt at all but is firm to the touch. I was worried it was some kind of cancer at first, but reading about everyone else's experiences here I don't think it is. In case anyone else comes here and reads this trying to figure out what is in their mouth, I have seen pictures of mouth cancers and they look nothing like this. The ones I have seen on the internet are more lightly colored, sometimes white, and much larger and nastier.
Hi,
I got a small blood blister on my finger from a pen and my friend had one on his lip from getting hit. Simplest thing to do would be to just leave it. It'll go away on it's own.Don't pop it, it could lead to an infection. If it does break, rinse with saltwater rather than mouth wash.

I was eating flaming hot cheetos and all of a sudden I felt something on the inside of my cheek, looked in the mirror, and it was a little blood filled bubble??? I'm thinking there was a cut or something there and maybe the salt or whatever irritated it??? Wierd!!! I called my doc and they said what they always say "if it doesn't seem to be improving in a couple days or if it gets any worse or bigger give us a call back", she did tell me not to try to pop it. So I guess I start the waiting game now. Too bad I'm going on vacation tomorrow and will be half way accross the country so if in fact it does get worse I wont be near my doc!!!!
One blood blister in isolation is probably nothing serious. Of course, if there was any injury in the mouth or a burn (from food/drinks) this is an obvious cause of a blood blister. There is also another condition called angina bullosa hemorrhagica which is the formation of a blood blister in the mouth that is painless. It is always wise to follow-up with your family doctor if this type of blood blister returns or does not seem to heal within a week. There are other associated illnesses which may be important to consider. Hope this helps!
I've had them many times and found that when I eat potato chips, I will have one or two pop up under my tounge. the strange thing is they will continue to get larger really fast. within an hour it could be the size of a dime. I pop them and they heal but watch what you're eating. I suspect it could be possibly perservitives or other chemicals in your chips. Corporate America would like you to keep eating them so don't disapoint them... just take the pills to keep you living!
how do my blood blister brothers and sisters
I was fine one minute, ate burger (with the lot) and chips, imediately after i thought i had some food stuck in my mouth. couldnt shift it so looked in the mirror and to my horror there was a large dark pimple type thing, even looks a bit like a little round animal just clinging on in there. that was about 2 hours ago now and i swear its getting bigger! im scared people....HELP ME!!!!!

i have a blood blister(or i think it is one) in my mouth on my gum line right on top of a tooth i keep popping it and blood comes out. after popping in it i raise my mouth with mouth wash and it just keeps growing back. any one know why this may happen?
Nice for those of you in the top 75% with good health insurance.....still of concern for those of us outside the corporate or government healthcare world who need to rely on the Internet for much of our healthcare.
I currently have a blood blister on the inside of my lower lip. I assume it was caused by my tooth hitting my lip pretty hard when I tripped and fell on my face this morning (mean goose near the sidewalk deciding to come after me, plus being prone to leaning forward while running, combined with slippery shoes and a backpack making me top-heavy...). Anyway, that's all it is. It's kind of like a bruise, only more stuff got broken up under the skin, so it's puffier. It looks bad, but it should heal on its own. I just don't know exactly how long it takes.
so i just got done eating a few too many chips and took a nap. woke up and ate crunch n munch butter toffey popcorn the ones from walmart anywho i felt like there was like a kernel stuck on my wall of my mouth just almost to the jaw line so i stuck my finger which my hands were def clean and i tried taking it out and instead i lightly pushed on it and felt it burst and when i took my finger out there was blood... anyone know what it could bem
Very interesting. I came here to see if there was anything on blood blisters inside the cheek. I was a little freaked out when I noticed it just a few minutes ago. Oddly, I did eat tortillia chips this evening and I see some of you mentioned that as culprit in the past. I feel better now, but I won't be popping it. I will probably bite it off at some point - unexpectedly. Thaaaat's gonna hurt!!!!
