have you thought about seeing an alternative health coach or alternative doctor? Sounds like you've exhausted all options pharmaceutically.

About 1 month ago, I had a car accident where the 2nd vertebra in my neck fracture (C2) Doctors said is considered one of the worst fractures, and I have to be thankful of being alive. Since the accident I'm using a neck brace, and taking pain meds. The first weeks I have spams on my shoulders, back of my head and neck, now the pain changed into a burning that runs from my ears, shoulders, back of my neck like a migraine and sometimes my jaw, and gets worse when I lay down. PT and OT said may be a nerve, I'm waiting for my apt with the neurologist, I just can tell you yet what it is, but is related with the fracture.

I have many of the same symptoms. You should see a chiropractor. It seems that you may have a subluxation near your atlas and/or axis. Once treated, I feel extremely better until it works it's way out of alignment.

I had exactly everything that you described. The cure for me (NO JOKE!) was to cut out 4 hour a of Xbox per day and no computer or mobile screens. After 3days of cutting out all electronic screens I was a new person. I was then treated for acid reflux and given bitahistonine dihydrocloriade for the dizziness as was a new person. Since then if I spend too much time on screens it all comes back but as soon as I stop then for a few days or hours I am cured. Home this helps. My stress was the screens of you can find your stress you may self cure!

I also have a hot feeling down in my right ear. This is the second time, I told my doctor but unconcerned. It does worry me,no sore throat, no ear ache,or neck trouble. I wish I knew what it could be. Help if possible. Thank you

It sounds like it probably might be your thyroid gland....

I am very concerned with tongue cancer.
Does it feel like something inside your ear?
I have similar symptoms as you do and recently got worse. It's like a burning pressure feeling below my ear while and in the back of throats and the muscles are very stiff below the ear.

My situation is a bit similar. I am a 52 yr old female. I work on a nearly full time basis as a Logistics Officer for the Army Reserves. I woke up on May 20th this year with my first horrible case of vertigo stemming from the side of my right ear. I have seen my physician, physical therapist, and ENT so far this Summer at the Aurora Health Care clinic in Menomonee Falls, WI with no answers yet and who say I am fine. The ENT was particularly rude and uncaring as he made chuckling, snide remarks seeming to suggest that I was making up the vertigo story. He also declined my request to have a CT scan done on my head. He claimed I have TMJ and should go home and take ibuprofin and put a warm compress on my right side and that my vertigo would magically disappear in two weeks. What a joke. I left his office fighting back tears thinking my chance for getting help for this was over. In the meantime, the vertigo continues off an on almost daily. I regularly perform the Epley maneuver and BBQ roll on myself to try to help the vertigo, but the maneuvers are of little help. I personally believe the vertigo is a result of a blood flow problem to my brain, especially since I had been using Primatene for a couple of years on and off (which contains Ephedrine). I found out after my initial vertigo attack occurred that this product can cause strokes, including within the brain stem or other areas of the brain. A few days prior to the initial vertigo attack in May I had the worst ever sore neck on my right side. It lasted roughly a week and I could hardly move my neck either direction during that time. The neck pain eventually got better but the initial vertigo attack happened days after that neck pain episode. So now after having given this entire situation some thought I am wondering if that horrid neck pain episode is linked to the vertigo and that maybe the ephedrine product had actually given me a mini-stroke, possible in my brain stem. I'm just guessing but it would make sense. Anyway, I will have my first Neurology appointment Sep 5th and am hoping someone will finally take me serious and do a CT scan or an MRI to hopefully see what is going on in my neck and head. Similar to you, I have a very warm sensation deep inside my right ear with a recent slight pressure feeling that comes and goes. Often it feels like there is a little liquid or water deep in my ear that moves around that occasionally makes my inner ear feel itchy. Prayers to get our situations resolved.

Have you been tested for subacute thyroiditis?

I to have a hot ear and warm neck, I found if I extend my lower jaw with mouth open I can get rid of the hot ear and many other pains I get. Like severe leg pain, but like you no docs can help.

This sounds very much like viral labrynthitis or meniere's disease. Go to an ENT and get checked for both. They are both middle ear issues and treatable. Also ask for hearing tests (full auditory work up). Best of luck!
