Ive done lots of reading and am still trying to understand how to best treat and not aggravate herniated discs and of course prevention. i have l4l5 and l5s1 hernitaions, l3l4, t5t6, t8t9 protusions. i had chiro adjusting my thoracic and neck for my lumbar pain and i was stupid and ignorant then to agree to crack my back. that chiro traumatized my t5t6 and or herniated it so that i have 5 months of pain so far, not responding to physio, doing some osteo and acupuncture. severe back and neck pain with headaches have subsided but i had to stop everything, i now only lie on my belly or walk, sit for 45 mins max/day and stand still for 10 mins max each time, no bending at all as the pain at t5t6 area becomes too severe. i also take nsaids,, eat well and hope for the best and try to keep calm. luckily i dont need to drive as i cant tolerate it and i have people helping me with trivial daily stuff

How are you now
I have been dealing with neck and thurasic pain for years now due to injuries and Dr's say surgery will only make it worse, when I asked if it would get better on its own they said no... Left to do what I can to remain sane without meds is hard however I feel the same way as you about life and hope I can inspire others that endurance and positive thinking daily is the best medical advice....
I am sorry for your pain and hopelessness. I am 33 and was in a terrible accident that damaged my ribs and spine. An MRI this year showed that I have 3 herniated discs in my mid spine. I understand your pain...I have pain on a daily basis (second to second) as well. It literally makes you feel like you are literally going insane. I hope you get the proper medication and procedures you need.
This post really made me feel better in a dark moment. Thank you!
